Digital camera Review: Best Portable Joystick- Hands Down
Summary: 5 Stars

As far as portable joysticks go (there aren't all that many) this joystick is topnotch. It breaks down into two pieces, and the base folds up into a compact package for easy traveling! The adjustability of this stick is also second to none...whatever your hand size, seating position etc, this joystick will be able to accommodate you. The stick adjusts in about every plane, the throttle stick is located in the perfect position (if you're a righty), and the button layout is also well done, and all easily accessible by the left hand without any effort. NOTE: This is a travel joystick, the tracking, profile settings, layout and such are better than some sticks costing twice as much...that said, this is not a full HOTAS (like the x52) and doesn't have as many button combos....it does smoke both the Av8tor, and other similar formed logitech sticks...i definitely recommend!

Digital camera Review: Broken after 2 weeks
Summary: 1 Stars

Started by having an hard time to get it to work on Windows 7 64, the throttle is stiff, and it ended up breaking after 2 weeks of normal usage ( from 30-to 1 hr daily usage, Falcon 4 ). What happened is that all of a sudden the rudder control was going off randomly. Returned for a refund and the shipping costed me a whopping 17$ ( although the estimate cost was 6$). Definitely won't order hardware from Amazon again unless they start giving free shipping of returns.

Digital camera Review: Builds on Saitek's expertise
Summary: 4 Stars

I purchased this product because I am also using Saitek's ProFlight Yoke and Rudders, and the SST software. I was using a Logitec joystick, and wanted a stick that was compatible with the SST program.
The SSt is great for creating different profiles for different games, or even different planes. For instance, I have one profile for flying off a carrier, where I programmed buttons for extending the tailhook, arming the catapult, etc.
I have not spent a lot of time flying with this stick yet, but so far, it lives up to expectations.

Digital camera Review: Buttons Fail
Summary: 2 Stars

The left half of the hat switch and the right side thumb buttons failed during usage. I've had this joystick for approx. 4 months.

edit: the next day i decided to tinker with my stick. the first thing i did was clean the contacts where the stick disessembles and now the buttons are working again.

i would rerate this joystick a 3/5 because of the wobble in the pitch.

Digital camera Review: Cyborg X - Would have expected more
Summary: 3 Stars

I purchased the Saitek cyborg X from best buy as it was only $2 more than amazon and I realy wanted to play there and then.

I was really excited to get it out of the box when I got home. It came packaged very well, everything was secure, so tightly packed, I would recommend pliers to cut the tie-wraps, so 9/10 for packaging.

When you get the joystick out of the box, you will find that it comes in two pieces. This in itself is quite a unique concept, you will either love it or hate it. I think the idea is so that you can dismantle the cyborg x which allows for great space saving. The great fact that it really takes no more than 5 seconds to put together and take apart is the key. Now for me this wasn't a selling point, I haven't taken it apart since I purchased it, however if you are short on space and would like to put this away, this could be a really usful feature for you. 8/10 for storability.

Right then, the most important part, playability. The only reason I bought the joystick was to play Flight Simulator. I'm going to have to be honest, for me the cyborg x does not do flight simulator any justice. I think if you are using it for an arcade flying game then it would be fine, and would work great right out of the box but for flight simulator, it requires a great deal of tweaking. As a lot of people have already mentioned, the cyborg x does have an unfortunate flaw. There is i slight wobble from the centre of the stick. That is, even with the deadzone completely set to nothing, you could move the stick anywhere up to 5-7mm in any direction before the input will be noticed. This can make landings annoying and perhaps tricky, especially if you are flying with cross winds. I also found that because of the wobble, when the stick does pickup an input, it will typically make large over correctments. This led to several hours of tweaking until I became comfortable and confident to fly in flight simulator. Unfortunately because of this I have to give it a 5/10 for playability.

To summarize, the joystick looks really good, and very unique, and with the blue LEDS on the top, it looks smashing in the dark, but if your looking for a good experience with simulation games, I would personally suggest looking at other options.
