Digital camera reviews of Samsonite L35 Notebook CaseDigital camera Review: Good Product, but not for 15"+ Summary: 2 Stars
I bought this case for Dell Inspiron E1505 (15.4") screen. It was way too small. This case has an inner pocket, which is the actual spot for the laptop to slip in. I will say it can only fit a 14" screen. I ended up putting my laptop outside the inner pocket, which barely fit. I wish the manufacturer noticed this problem and not listed for any 15"+ screens.
Digital camera Review: Good Quality, But too tight for 15in laptop Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for my 15in. Laptop. The laptop did fit in snugly, by with the power cord and USB optical mouse, it bulged in the frontan I had some difficulty closing the zipper. The quality of the material is excellent though. If you have laptop with 15in. or bigger screen, my suggestion is to look for a bigger one.
Digital camera Review: Good and Effecient !!! Summary: 5 Stars
Samsonite L35 is better than I expected. The compact design adds to the beauty of the bag. I loved it and it is great for my 12" laptop.
Recommended if the laptop is less than 15".
Digital camera Review: Good but Smaller Summary: 3 Stars
It looks good, but little bit smaller than I expected.
I can not put in any more than computer.
Digital camera Review: Good complement for smaller carry-on case Summary: 4 Stars
The case piggybacks nicely on top of the American Tourister Tribute III Expandable 21" Carry-On Upright Suiter I got just before --- the "bottomless pocket" on the bag is actually a feature, not a bug, as it is meant to fit trolley handles of carry-on bags. The combination does become a bit top-heavy if for whatever reason the carry-on is (nearly) empty. Colors (black) and design match quite well.
As for the bag itself, it nicely holds my Apple MacBook MB404LL/A 13.3" Laptop (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive) Black inside its Incase CL57077 Neoprene Sleeve for MacBook Air, MacBook 13", PowerBook 12" and iBook 12", Black
--- having lost the Macbook's predecessor to a fall on the ice (thank G-d it was insured), I'm not taking any chances, even though the Samsonite bag does have some foam protection around the laptop compartment.
The bag would cetainly hold a Apple MacBook Pro MB133LL/A 15.4" Laptop (2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB Hard Drive, DVD/CD SuperDrive) without the neoprene sleeve, and probably with the sleeve.
The bag has various pockets to organize my usual presentation gear --- AC adapter, (mini-)DVI to VGA adapter cable for hooking up to projectors, Kensington 33374 Wireless Presenter with Laser Pointer, retractable Ethernet, audio, USB, and Firewire cables. The outside pocket holds my reading glasses --- it does have enough space for my Batterygeek external battery pack. (Warmly recommended to transatlantic fliers or long-haul train riders.) It is small enough that it ought to go under the seat in front of you on an aircraft.
The soft handle is a nice touch, as is the gel-padded shoulder strap. The bag feels quite sturdy, although the handle and shoulder strap rivets are potential points of failure.
All in all, well worth the money.
UPDATE: after several months of carrying my laptop to and from work in this, the rubberized handle straps are falling apart. I can still use it as a shoulder bag but that just ain't my thing. So I am regretfully retiring it and replacing it by a Case Logic 13" Classic Slimline Laptop Case - Black, which is an underappreciated gem.
