Digital camera Review: don't upgrade the firmware

Samsung finally sent me a CD to upgrade the firmware on my BD-P1500.
Not only didn't the disc upgrade the unit, it corrupted it. It the BluRay player no longer functions, at all.
When I contacted Samsung, reminding them that it was their CD which caused the unit to fail, I got a run-around regarding the warranty of the unit-It was puchased 14 months ago. They would cover the parts, I had to pay for the labor.
When I argued that I didn't do anything to corrupt the unit, the "Executive Customer Service Rep indicated that that was their policy.
I'm now looking for a replacement and it won't be a Samsung unit.
