Digital camera Review: Worked for 1 month, now its a nightmare to use.

I bought this unit a month ago. It worked great at first, beautiful picture. Now a month later, it hangs ALL the time with multiple disks, most of the time wont display the disk menu, hangs in the middle of the movie, door wont open, controls freeze. Yesterday I went and bought a Sony blu ray player which works GREAT. I put the Samsung player in a box and I will not be using in again. My advice to you; if you are thinking about buying this product, DONT. Buy a Sony or something highly rated. There are a lot of these players on the market and some of them have issues and this unit does,before going out and buying another one I went online and looked, and I found a lot of reviews by consumers where they had exactly the same problem I have had. I bought this unit because it was on sale for under 200 dollars, it was an impulse buy and I didn't do the research (I usually look on CNET). Months ago I purchased Samsung blu-ray player for a good deal of money - since then I have been quite happy with it. Recently a firmware updated was released - without prior notification it added the ability to have YouTube on the player.
After searching for a way to disable it, I called customer support several times - there is no way to disable YouTube. There is no scenario where I would allow YouTube in my home and expose my family to everything that is vile contained on it. Don't trust me? Don't believe? Search for the keyword boobs and see what you get. Or x or y - you should see my point. I cannot have a product that makes it more difficult than it already is to raise a family.
Samsung did NOT have the feature when it was purchased, did not install with any warning, did not install with any permission and has no way to disable it. To say the least I am a very frustrated customer and now very unhappy with a device that I can no longer have in my home.

I've had this player since December 2008. No problems whatsoever. I updated the firmware with no problem and it plays all DVD's, CD's and Blu-Ray discs I put in it. Too bad it doesn't also have SACD but what do I expect from a player I only paid $179 for? My top of the line Toshiba HD-DVD player has better pix and sound but I paid much more for that. For someone who got burned on the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD war, I swore I'd never buy a Blu-Ray player. I did, however, and thankfully, I found this one at a great price and it has been no problem whatsoever.Digital camera Review: Its gotta work to be any good

Bought this box with a 46" LCD from Samsung. Liked it out of the box. Nice integration. However, 7 months into its life, the unit stopped loading disks. Downloaded new firmware--nothing. Called Samsung to get warranty service within the year and no deal. They said this malfunction isnt included in the warranty. I asked the boys at Best Buy where I bought the gear about this. They said buy LG. They get 4-5 of the Samsung Blu-ray back of even model for every LG. And, they sell more LG because of it. They even encouraged posting a review on their site. Samsung has a good TV, but watch the gray spots in Blu-ray warranty coverage. I never would have thought this wouldnt be covered. Bad Samsung!Digital camera Review: It broke
