This is the best BD player. Streaming Netflix (including LOST in HD) and Pandora, excellent blu-ray playback. I would have held-out for the newer wireless version but I'm too impatient for that. Besdies, I picked this up in Canada for $100 less than US. The difference paid for the powerline adapter to connect unit to my router.Digital camera Review: Awesome

The set up was easy and straight forward. Just connect the HDMI cable and turn it on. The TV picked it right up and just put in the cd it comes with and it updates the firmaware. The main reason I bought the Samsung Blu-ray was because it got great reviews by consumer reports, I already had a Samsung HDTV, and I have a Netflix membership.
This blu-ray player has exceeded all expectations. It integrates seamlessly with my Samsung TV and Home Theater System, and the streaming Netflix option is great! I used to use an S-video cable and audio cord to plug my computer into my TV to play netflix movies, but NO LONGER!! I'm very happy with this purchase.

Plugged the Samsung Blue Ray Player into my Samsung LCD TV, then into the internet using ethernet cabling, and the magic started. First, it downloaded all the lasted software/firmware revisions. Then, up popped up Netflix which I had subscribed to earlier. A few decisions, a transfer of a code, and I was downloading movies in 45 seconds using a cable modem. Had it been wireless, the Samsung 2500 would have gotton a five-star rating.
Amazon.com was not so great. Charged me shipping and sales tax even though the item was advertized ship and tax free, thanks to the express check out. Use the step-by-step check out so you won't get charged before you can correct Amazon promises.
If you have patience, you can same-price purchase at big box stores. Correctly invoiced products from the them can also be returned with a lot less hassle.

I already have a PS3, but I wanted something that could play blu-rays in the bedroom. I'd been waiting for quite a while, as there weren't many good blu-ray players out there other than the PS3. After reading reviews for this player I decided to make the plunge...and I'm so glad I did. The player plays blu-rays wonderfully and it also plays all my AVCHD's (update your firmware for AVCHD functionality). The Netflix abilities are great (I have yet to see it need to rebuffer while watching a video). The fact that this player has 1 GB of memory built in is icing on the cake.
