After owning this TV for 1 month I fell compelled to tell the online shoppers of the world how GREAT it is. This is the perfect TV for anyone who wants a big, big screen TV, but does not have the means to pony up $5000 for one of those monster flat panels.

Amazon is a great place to buy if you have the patience to wait for delivery. It took less than 5 business day for the TV to arrive in a big box. The gentlemen who delivered it offered to set it up, but as it was a Christmas present, I declined. My wife and I were able to pull it out of the box and set it up on Christmas Eve without any problems. It is a surprisingly light set compared to our 27 inch tube TV. It is easy to move with two people. Their are ample Video and Audio ports hidden behind the right side of the screen allowing easy access and connectivity while remaining unseen from the front. The remote control is sleek and easy to use.

The picture quality on this TV is outstanding. Its many settings and adjustments allow you to tweak it to your liking very easily. I like to use the THX optimizer to help me set up my system. It can be found in the setup menu of many THX DVD's like The Incredibles. I was surprised at how well it handled the 480i and 480p signals of my standard Xbox and Satellite TV via S-Video (I don't watch near enough TV to pay for HD Satellite). Even my old DVD player looked pretty good on this TV until...

Blu-Ray. After looking a at a picture from my recently acquired Sony BDP S550 via HDMI I feel I am insulting this TV by using anything less than HD. Like driving a sports car through all school zones, you won't get the most out of this fine TV until you use an HD source with an HDMI Cable. It's worth the hype, the picture is outstanding to point of brutal honesty. Close ups become very personal, wide nature shots are spectacular, action sequences look fantastic without blurring or streaking (a problem with plasma and LCD, with a refresh rate under 120mhz. NOT rear projection)

A couple of things you should know about this TV. Although it has an antiglare hard cover the technology used to project the image causes some glare. It's not an issue unless you have a large light source behind the viewer, like a window or open area to another room. The picture can be adjusted for bright room viewing, but I recommend blacking out the light if possible. The speakers are good enough for casual TV viewing, but if you want good sound get a stereo system.

Without hesitation I would buy this TV again. It works in every way you want it to. With the prices where they are today there's no reason to settle for less.
