Digital camera Review: Best RPTV ever ....

Unfortunately, this TV is now almost impossible to find, but if you can find one, don't hesitate. The color reproduction (with just a few easy tweaks in the menu) is just about perfect. The fact that it uses an LED lamp instead of expensive DLP bulbs is a great feature as well. I've had it for a couple of months and so far so good (fingers crossed) but some people have had some issues. RPTV is nearly gone, and this is probably one of the best ones you can get, and even when they were new, the price was VERY reasonable. I love LCD, but they're just not affordable in larger sizes. Its a shame that these are not being made any more - Samsung had a real winner.

As others on this site have done, I did a lot of research. I did have a older Toshiba 56" RPTV that I was thinkinng about replacing later on this year or next. It still had a very nice picture. A friend at work kept telling me about his Samsung DLP TV & how great it is. I wanted the same size TV or something bigger. But did not want to spend the money. I kept reading about how good the DLP's were. So on Jan 31st I went on Amazon too read some more reviews, BUT I found the price was $1349 plus free shipping. So with the idea I better get this before they stop making them, I bought it at 2am. The email said delivery was scheduled for Feb 10th. It was delivered that Thursday Feb 5th. They did a outstanding job. I would order from Amazon again. Now for the TV. Don't get worry about how to setup the TV. I tried several settings recommended on the forums & they all made my picture worst. I had to hit the factory reset to get it back. The picture was not as good as my Toshiba. I was worried I had made a bad choice. Then I read to try the ENTERTAINMENT MODE. I clicked on SPORT & WOW! The picture was all it could be. The Cable HD & Blue-Ray movies were jaw dropping. My wife who does not care how she watches TV said the picture "POPS". This TV is a mans dream come true. Get one before it's to late.
It's been 2 months & this TV still makes me smile. When people come over & the HDTV picture makes them stop & make a comment, THAT's a GOOD TV. When was the last time that happen to your TV?

I really don't have a lot to add that the other reviews haven't said. But this TV is bright, beautiful, and huge for the money. This TV will blow you away. I have had it 2 weeks and it still makes me smile when i watch it. I have Directv, Wii, XBOX360 and a PS3 and they all look better then any TV i have seen in the stores. This TV is LED DLP, no color wheel or bulb to burn out. It should last 15-18 years. AAA+++ video a must buy.Digital camera Review: Best TV, Best Price!

You get what you pay for? This TV in an Plasma and LED version is at least $3,000-$5,000 more. I paid about $1900, I've had it for 5 months now, a bargain indeed.
