Digital camera Review: TV Fine, User the problem - "no signal" and changing channels
Summary: 5 Stars

This was our first HD TV and we connected it our DISH network the same as our old TV and added the HDMI cable from the DVD and the picture was there. All seemed great until the TV would turn itself off and on intermittently..........maybe about 20-30 times x day. We talked to repair man and found that we didn't have the source selected as HDMI, instead we had it on TV. When we selected HDMI source the problem was resolved and picture was wonderful.

Then we connected our Wii to the AV1 source on the TV and the TV continually sent out a "no signal" dialog box that would interrupt any Wii games we were playing and the TV would change its channel so there was a snow picture! I bought some component cables for the Wii and selected the component option for the source on the TV and, again, all was resolved.

Hope this helps anyone else that may encounter the same problems. The TV is fine it was the user that was the problem. Now, we have bought our second Samsung 40" and it will be delivered next week from Amazon. Hoping we get the connections correct to the computer!

Last note: Delivery was outstanding for the 61" TV. Two young men brought out the new TV, unboxed it (took the packaging away), put it on the stand, and even took our old TV (which they didn't have to do, and it must have weighed 200 lbs). We saved on the price of the TV, taxes, and delivery. Exemplary service from Amazon!

Digital camera Review: Best bang for your buck.

Digital camera Review: Forget LCD, this TV is way more bang for the buck!
Summary: 5 Stars

When I got serious about buying an HD tv, I of course started looking at LCD and how much I could afford. There are so many variables in LCD selection and I became thoroughly confused and then you throw in the Plasma option and things got even more confusing. I had taken a trip to a friends house and he had a Sony 63" HD projection and that started me looking at DLP. First of all, there aren't all the confusing numbers to look for. No 120Hz concerns, no refresh rates to compare and best of all, I can get way bigger for a lot less money. I was sold on DLP. Well only 2 companies offer projection these days and the Samsung in the winner hands down, due to the fact that the 750 series doesn't have bulbs that burn out. They use new technology LED lights and mirrors that will last the lifetime of the TV (60000 hrs+).
Go to a big name store such as Circuit city or Frey's and compare. The price for a 52" good quality Lcd will run anywhere from $2200-$3500 or more. Then look at the 61" Samsung for well under $2000 (I bought mine through WarehouseDeals.com for under $1300). The only disadvantage to DLP is that you can't hang it on the wall, but these tv's are only 14" deep and regardless of what the sales people tell you, you don't have to be directly in front of them to see the picture. they have a come a long way. Make sure if you purchase one of these, that you update to HD converter box and purchase an HDMI cable to connect the two. The HDMI cable made all the difference in the world for picture quality. I LOVE my Samsung DLP and you will too!

Digital camera Review: Biggest and best HDTV for the $$
Summary: 5 Stars

Words can't explain how happy I am with purchasing this TV. It's 61" of gorgeous Full 1080p HD goodness.

But on a more serious note, I am VERY impressed with the specs on this TV. It has more than enough HDMI/AV ports to suit a normal household's needs. Setup was a breeze and the TV's picture was perfect right out of the box, it needed no alteration to brightness/color/etc... With a TV this big I was worried about pixilation when viewing anything other than 1080i/p but it has handled everything I have thrown at it perfectly. Even the lower resolution "standard cable" channels that aren't available in HD yet look amazing, even when stretching the screen out.

The colors are very crisp and the black levels are much better than I thought a DLP could give. The picture is also much brighter than many of the DLP reviews I read. The 750 Series' LED technology must have cleared up that problem completely because I don't notice a lick of difference in brightness between this TV and all of my friend's LCD TV's.

Anyone who is in the market for a big TV (and I mean BIG) with amazing quality, and isn't so worried about the modern trend of LCD/Plasma TV's... This TV is for you! And trust me, once your friends come over and see it, they'll have no room to tease you for not having a LCD, they'll be wishing they had one. (especially since you probably paid MUCH lower for this than they did for theirs!!)

Digital camera Review: Great Buy!
