Digital camera reviews of Samsung LN22A450 22-Inch LCD Flat Panel HDTV 720p HDMIDigital camera Review: Good clear picture Summary: 4 Stars
We looked at a lot of televisions in this size, but this one had the best picture by far. Fast action still is a bit of a problem, but we didn't see any televisions in this size that didn't blur of pixelate in action scenes. The speakers are really not very good, but in our case we have a sound system attached to it for use when sound is important, so it does not really matter. Overall, it is a very good television in this size.
Digital camera Review: Good little TV Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this for use in our bedroom, and knew from the start that we wouldn't be adding an external sound system. But one of the features that seems consistently poor on these smaller LCD sets is sound quality, so I was a bit unsure of what to expect. Turns out, the built-in speakers on this Samsung are impressive: not tinny at all, and relatively rich (and not buzzy) when we increase volume to higher levels.
Overall, set-up was easy, picture quality is quite good (no dead pixels, with a sharp picture on the HD channels), and the styling is clean and sleek. The menu system is relatively straightforward -- only reason I'm giving this four stars rather than five (and honestly would have put it at 4.5 if it were an option) is the electronic series of beeps it makes upon powering on and off. Can't find a way to disable it, and when you're trying to turn a television off without waking up another person, that's a (small) drawback.
Digital camera Review: Good picture and sound for the economical price Summary: 4 Stars
Overall, I am content with this purchase. The only warning is that channel numbers appear very small and for too short of a time. Every time one changes the channel up or down (and one does not know where one is starting from), it is not easy to see the read out /counter for each channel since they are too small and they stay up for a fraction of a second. This can be frustrating. Still, it delivers great picture and sound in a compact and economical package.
Digital camera Review: Good, But Sent It Back Summary: 3 Stars
I bought this for my mother in law to try as her first HDTV, to use in her kitchen. That probably wasn't a great decision. It is a nice "cheap" TV. The sound is good, the SD and HD pictures are pretty good, and the remote is ok. However, it is what it is - an inexpensive, lower line TV. The quality of the picture from side to side and and up and down (as other reviewers have mentioned) degrades quickly. Not a good property for a TV used in a room where the viewer is moving around quite a bit. I ended up sending it back to Amazon for a refund. As usual, Amazon was great and it was easy to return.
If you are using it a room where you are viewing it generally straight-on, and you don't need a large TV, this will probably work fine for you.
Digital camera Review: Great Summary: 4 Stars
I gave this as a birthday present. Recipient is pleased and uses it in a small room. My take is that the picture is really crisp and clear, but that the sound quality is not the greatest. That is, sounds "tinny," like it's sound out of a metal can. However, birthday boy seems to think it's fine and that's what matters.
