For everyone that's knocking the delivery service (CEVA) that Amazon uses for the Samsung TV's-guess what? It's NOT the delivery service that's bad-it's AMAZON! My tv was scheduled for delivery Jan. 29, but every time I tracked it-it kept saying it was in "Resistencia AR"...day after day after day...& a week later still no tv. So, I emailed Amazon & they say "Resistencia AR" is the Illinois warehouse, (I'm in IL) & they don't have my phone #-so the tv's been sitting there. Amazon didn't email me to TELL me to get ahold of the carrier as THEIR policy states it supposedly does.
As for the TV-it's great. Blackest blacks, nice color & clarity. Luckily-no problems out of the box after sitting in the warehouse!!
Digital camera Review: AVOID THIS TV (and Samung Products in general)!

I purchased this TV on 11/24/2008, Amazon shipped it on 11/25/2008, and Samsung said the TV was manufactured on 11/30/2008. I was happily using this TV for 584 days, until the screen suddenly washed out and went photo-negative. There are SEVERAL other commentators who have also had this problem, yet Samsung doesn't acknowledge it as a "known issue". There is a video on youtube describing and documenting this issue.
To sum up why you should avoid this TV (if not this brand):

This HD television gets nearly universal high marks for its technical profile but the product arrives with no instructions whatsoever to help the purchaser actually use the thing, i.e. "how to" play a DVD, adjust/fine tune color, etc. It is frustratiing to not have this kind of info in the user "manual".Digital camera Review: Add me to the list of very satified shoppers

After quite a bit of research we decided to buy our 1st HDTV - the Samsung LN32A450 - for an entertainment cabinet in our family room. A 32" screen is the largest we could fit in the space and we are extremely happy with our decision. Everything went very smooth (order, shipment. and set-up) and the picture is terrific. We could have bought a less expensive 32" television but the difference in picture quality (and hopefully the long term dependability) was worth it. At this point a 52" Samsung HDTV is on the "wish-list" for the basement.
