Digital camera reviews of Samsung LN40A550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTVDigital camera Review: AWESOME... Summary: 5 Stars
Although it's not a huge TV, it's probably the best that I've owned up to this point. The picture is unmatched. I do agree that it's probably not the best sound quality, but a home theater will fix that easy. A 40" cannot beat this TV, and it's a great price.
Digital camera Review: Absolutely 5 star Performance Summary: 5 Stars
This TV beats the competion by miles. I always have liked sony for Televisions but this TV has changed my view forever. SAMSUNG is ahead of the competion. Even non HD channels look crystal clear on this TV. If you are looking for all around performance and picture quality than look no further.
People who complain about speakers needs to understand that this is a TV not Home Theater system. This is TV has very good speakers and i dont see anything wrong with them.
Digital camera Review: Absolutely loving it Summary: 5 Stars
I had this Samsung LCD TV for about month now and I absolutely love it.
The quality is great. I have Verizon Fios at home and all HD Channels come out great.
The delivery was really fast too, I received in 3 days.
I will definitely recommend buying Samsung LCD TV through Amazon.com to anyone I know.
Digital camera Review: Absolutely stunning picture, crappy sound Summary: 4 Stars
I ordered this tv from amazon 9 days ago and received it 4 days later. I share the sentiments of most of the reviewers here; the picture on this tv is amazing...it really is. In fact, I was tempted to rate this tv five stars because of how great it looks. However, I feel a product only deserves 5 stars if it is darn near perfect for what you pay.
Many reviews here talk about the sound on this tv being an issue and you should believe them. The sound on this tv sucks. You absolutely must use this tv with an external receiver and speakers. The tv basically sounds like it has two small speakers deep inside that face backwards. You will find that the TV may be loud enough for everybody in your house to hear it through the walls, but everything you hear from it while sitting in front of it is muddled and difficult to hear and unfortunately raising the volume just makes the lack of clarity louder, it doesn't make it any clearer.
I wholeheartedly recommend this tv to anybody who already plans on using it with an external receiver and speakers, because if you are able to get around the terrible sound (which you can with an AV receiver) then you will find that this tv is everything that you are looking for at this price. Besides if given the option between a great display with sub-par audio and a mediocre display with great audio, I would take the better display because you can't get around a crappy display.
Digital camera Review: All I can say is WOW!!! Summary: 5 Stars
Like a lot of people I did extensive research over the past month and a half trying to fine the perfect TV for the money I'm willing to spend. I went from Toshiba to Sony to Samsung. I visited every electronics store a could think of to view the TV's and found that Samsung's TVs where the best in the market. This TV is awesome and I love it. It took me about 35min to set it up because I was selecting the wrong input for my cable box. O.K. lets go over the pros and cons.
Pros: Great picture, decent sound (They don't build these TVs for great sound, the OEM figures that most people will get surround sound) Tons of options for picture and sound adjustment, very slick and stylish look, 3 HDMI inputs, the buttons on the remote control have a back light so you can see them at night, menu is very user friendly and easy to navigate, has a USB port for pictures and firmware update, PS3 & my Xbox look amazing!!!!!
Cons: The only con I have is really not with the TV but with Time Warner. Time Warner's standard cable signal is weak and most of their channels are broadcast in analog. Everyone is telling me that Direct TV is all digital and they are better for HDTVs. I'm really thinking about switching.
Oh I forgot that I plugged in an old rabbit ear antenna that my girlfriend found in the closet and I was able to pick up about 13 HD channels over the air!!!! What's really funny is the free HD channels over the air look better that Time Warner's HD channels. I guess that's because TW compresses the HD signal.
