Digital camera reviews of Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

Digital camera Review: 46" 120Hz Samsung LCD works fine
Summary: 5 Stars

The TV arrived quickly (less than a week) and in good shape. It was a bit hard for one person to unpack, it was so large. But, I managed, and also was able to carry it upstairs by myself (it weighs only about 60 lbs). The most interesting thing about it was actually the box, as it was two separate pieces -- top and bottom -- with them connected by two large, plastic, collapsible rivets. Very interesting evolution of fastener technology!

Digital camera Review: 46" Samsung
Summary: 5 Stars

This may be the very best 46" LCD TV available.
Picture quality is superior to other TVs.
I also purchased a 52" Samsung in the 750 series. It has the same picture quality as the 650 series with some added features. The 650 series is the best buy.

Digital camera Review: 46" Samsung LCD TV
Summary: 5 Stars

Very satisfied with purchase having compared different brands in local stores ahead of time. Delivery time was great, far sooner that was expected probably due to the fact that we only live 98 miles from Houston. Freight company rep. called ahead of time and delivered during time that he said then removed TV from box, set TV up, and connected to our cable system. Very pleased with purchasing through Amazon.com and recommend this type purchasing to everyone we know.

Digital camera Review: 46A650 from Amazon: A great set, a great price
Summary: 5 Stars

The LN-46A650 is a great HDTV. CNET's review of the 52" version applies across the board here. HD images are vivid, clear and crisp with fantastic detail, and dark areas very rich and detailed. And when I turn on the noise reduction, even our old VHS player looks decent! No worries over the red "touch of color", it's hardly noticeable. Even after hours of running, there's no sign of the shut-down problem reported by others. The remote's a little funky, but once you learn it, it's fine.

One thing to do right away: turn down the backlight, it ships very bright, and you'll get better images with a dimmer setting. I went with CNET's dark-room settings, but AVS forums also have good suggestions.

Biggest drawback: the deep blacks can combine with a somewhat reflective screen to reflect bright light sources behind the viewer. It's no worse than our old CRT SDTV, but the flat-screen makes the reflection "more perfect" and hence more noticeable. But it's only at night, with fluorescent lights glaring from a room behind the viewer, that it can be seen. Dim or put out those lights (eg in daytime) or change the angle of the TV (swivel stand is included), and all's well. And of course, it's only seen where the screen is very dark - so most of the time, reflections are not visible.

The 120Hz? Effective in very fast motion, and it can be tailored somewhat. And frankly, the only time I can really see a difference is with very fast objects, as in tennis or baseball - otherwise, the fast 4ms refresh makes for fairly blur-free viewing even with 120Hz turned off.

Delivery: I ordered it from Amazon with free shipping, and got it in about a week and a half, with outstanding service from shipper CEVA - the delivery guy called to arrange delivery time, unpacked it, set it up, even hooked up our cable and tested the set out, and was polite and professional.

Price: After checking prices for months prior to purchase, I can say that Amazon's pricing beats anybody else that I would trust (and has a 30-day return policy). After purchase, I checked the price regularly and used the 30-day price guarantee (1-800-201-7575, ext 7) to get another $200 off my purchase price.

I'm very happy with my purchase and everyone who's seen it has been impressed. Thanks to Samsung, for making the nicest TV I've ever owned, and to Amazon, for making it affordable!

Digital camera Review: 5 star it is.
Summary: 5 Stars

I researched a lot before I bought it. My initial choice was Toshiba Regza because it is cheaper but reviews were good too. When I read reviews on this Samsung TV, I was surprised by it's 5 star reviews. I became curious and went to Bestbuy and Circuit City and compared. I was glad I did not place an order for Toshiba. I went home and ordered my Samsung LN46A650 via Amazon.com. I am enjoying my TV and realized why it is given 5 stars by most customers. Because it really deserves 5 stars. 5 stars it is.
