If you need Close Caption (CC) feature, then you have to pass on this TV as well as all Samsung line - for some reason they do not support CC for HDMI and Component inputs, but only for AV input. Some cable boxes have CC feature, but it was not adequate substitution - very few channels are supported and it is out of sync with video (I have Comcast). I called Samsung customer support and was told that it is by design.
I still wanted to keep this TV, because picture was good. But in three weeks it stopped working because of power supply failure. I called Samsung customer support - they said that technician will be dispatched to my home in two weeks only.
So, considering both above, I decided to return it back to Amazon. Amazon handled it well despite it is a big item and shipping is not cheap.
Bottom line - Samsung TV and service was not good for me, but Amazon is great.

I compared several brands and several models. I was torn between this model and the newer 650. I decided for the money difference this was the best buy. I have no complaints other than learning all the bells and whistles. You can sit anywhere in the room and get a clear picture. Yeah, the speakers are not that great. Neither are any of the other makes and models. If you are spending this kind of money on a TV, invest in surround sound. After only two weeks of ownership, I had to write a review and let others in doubt know how amazing the picture quality is on this TV. Never having been a fan of LCD TVs, I have been in the plasma HDTV camp for about 5 years. After purchasing 3 Panasonic Plasma TVs (including the 65-inch TH-65PX600U monster) and one Samsung 50-inch plasma, I saw my parent's Samsung LCD and was blown away. Now, even their model is blown away by this one in picture quality.
After applying the settings found on the AVS Forums, the picture on this TV is amazing. I've really become a Samsung LCD lover now.
Also, the delivery by CEVA was not too bad. I got it one day early.

After searching for a few months for the right TV I chose this one and I was not disappointed. I was contemplating higher models with the auto motion detection, or the 120hz as aposed to the 60hz here, but after comparing it to a few of my friends TV's there was not a noticeable enough difference for me.
Bottom line, this is the best bang for your buck and is an amazing TV.
Picture is absolutly amazing.

I bought this TV after reviewing various televisions for months. The picture is amazing! I had read about glare problems with older models but I have this TV in a bright room with absolutely no problems. I don't understand anyone that buys a tv this expensive and doesn't have it hooked up to surround sound.
I would recommend buying the TV from Amazon and not another company thru Amazon. Two days after I ordered from Amazon, they dropped the price and offered a free Tivo HD box. I called Amazon and they shipped me the Tivo and credited me the difference no questions asked. Since I couldn't use the Tivo with satellite, I sold it on Ebay for $198. Amazon has credited me $100 so far.
