Digital camera Review: A great LCD, a great VALUE

After waiting for YEARS, super LCD, at the right price point, with the right features for me, not too heavy at around 70 pounds, perfect for a wall mount, touch-of-colour matches faux painting scheme on our plaster beautifully, 1080p, great connections, great HDTV viewing on HD channels, and DVD, this is an outstanding product.
Look at some Plasmas, look at Sony Bravia, then decide. This TV seems to have motion blur covered, black background, brightness and contrast covered, no speaker bar to look at, a nice color accent, very clean. The pioneer plasmas are great too, and the Sony Bravia's ... you just have to go see and decide on what works for you. The Samsung is a very nice product that should be on your short list. I know folks at Best Buy who cannot wait to 'get theirs' :)

Digital camera Review: A great TV that adds a touch of elegance to any room

I've had this TV for 6 months now and I continue to be impressed by its sheer size and elegance. The Touch of Color is subtle, but it adds a touch of class to the room. At 56", this TV is dominating. Make no mistake, this will be the center of attention in any room you put it in. When friends come over, their immediate reaction is usually a curse word because of the sheer massiveness of the TV.
The LN52A650 is the second Samsung in my house (after the 46" in the living room) and my third LCD TV purchase overall. I heartily recommend the Samsung brand of TVs over other manufacturers for the price to performance ratio and for a number of design innovations. Both my Samsungs have a swivel base which is very helpful when accessing the back panel to plug in other devices. I am surprised by just how many other brands do not have this simple design (including Sony Bravia's, Panasonic, Olevia, ViewSonic).

- attractive and BIG! It's beautiful every time I look at it.
- elegance of contours and simplicity of design: TV is completely buttonless. Instead, front right side has touch sensitive controls that detect human contact, like the PS3 power button. Touching it with a pen, or other object won't activate it.
- large number of ports and plugs, so you'll very likely have more than you need for all your devices. 4 HDMI ports
- Ethernet port for weather updates, stock ticker, and news headlines that overlay on the screen, though I don't use this at all, since I have PCs and Macs.
- nicely designed remote that is sturdy, shiny, and big buttons. Not nearly as confusing as other remotes. At 10 inches tall, the buttons are given plenty of breathing room, instead of being all squished up on a smaller surface. Has a motion sensor inside, so the buttons light up when moved -- really helpful in a dark room.
- remote battery cover is tethered, so you can't lose it! A small detail, but a very smart design innovation that speaks to the level of care Samsung devoted to this product.
- swivel base allows easy access to ports, a design many TVs lack

- AutoMotion Plus not very useful and is really just a marketing gimmick. It makes everything look artificial, though when turned on for some games, they do look better. Don't use for movies, unless you want to wash away that look of film and all the care directors put into making a film look the way it looks.
- onscreen menus could've been made simpler. For example, turning on and off the AutoMotion requires at least 3 menus because it is buried.
Not many cons I can think of. This is a beautiful product and I am very happy with my purchase.

I have received this LCD 3 days ago and wanted to share my experience here. This is very nice and spectacular LCD available in the market. I have did a lot of research before buying this and compared with sony and sharp. I don't remember how many times I visited BestBuy to see the differnece between these 3 TVs. Finally I have voted for this TV and I am very happy with it now. I would recommend this TV. I don't want to talk about the Technical Stuff but this is worth spending this much money and Amazon's purchase was a breeze.I received this in 5 days after ordering.Digital camera Review: A wonderful television
