Digital camera Review: Awesome Television!

My comparison shopping for a new TV has finally ended with the LN52A650 and what a great decision it was. I have researched so many TV's and nothing else comes close to the Samsung 650's feature set and picture quality. For a lot of people the decision starts with Plasma or LCD and for me that was easy. I love the picture of an LCD TV/Monitor, the colors seem to be much more vibrant with LCD. I watched this TV many times and compared the picture to all those around it at my local tech store(It's Blue and begins with B). The Sony KDL-52W4100 is really the only other TV I was considering because I like Sony products and it has a similar price to the Samsung. The Sony has a nice picture but after watching both TV's side by side I noticed more detail and richer color from the Samsung. That was all I needed to decide on the Samsung. The one thing that bothered me was the "Red Touch of Color" on the Samsung but it does look sharp once you see it. Picture quality is amazing with very deep black levels and a high contrast ratio (50,000:1). The 120Hz function is a nice touch but you don't even need to use it to get a nice smooth picture. The TV does a good job at up scaling your basic cable stations and those HD channels look really nice. Full HD through HDMI is where this TV really shines. After hooking up my PS3 and watching the Blu-Ray "Planet Earth" I was floored by the picture. The scenes from the movie are simply amazing from Mountains to Deserts to The Ocean, it looks great. Standard DVD's are up scaled nicely and bring out a lot of extra detail than with your standard TV and player. I heard people talk about up scaled DVD's being as good as Blu-Ray and I think that they may come close but Blu-Ray has a definite edge especially when sitting up close. I found the sound quality to be pretty good on this TV, while it could benefit from a nice audio receiver the speakers get the job done. The features of this TV are the best I know of. There are so many options to adjust picture and audio settings, you have full control over how your TV looks and sounds. The inputs on the TV are also quite generous with all the standard component and composite connections you would expect on an HDTV along with 4 HDMI ports and a USB port for Music, Pictures and Firmware Updates. One feature I found really cool is that when you adjust the picture settings on an input source like HDMI those settings stay custom to that source. This means that every HDMI port can have it's own settings saved in the TV's memory. This is great because while one picture setting works on a device it may not look as good on another and need to be adjusted. This also works on cable channels too, when you set your settings on an HD station all the other HD stations use those settings same is true for SD channels. Shipping was great for me, I live close to the CEVA distribution center so I got it fast(Order on Dec. 19th Delivered Dec. 22nd). Overall I am very happy with the TV and my experience with Amazon and wouldn't think twice about doing it again. I hope this review was helpful to those in the market for a new TV and I hope that you give Samsung a look.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
