I purchased this monitor at Fry's Electronics for $449.00 as a replacement for my 22" NEC CRT that is 10 years old.
I didn't really think things thru and only considered PC screen resolution after I got the monitor home.
The manual says that 1024x768 is the maximum preferred screen size.. but guess what? I'm running the monitor at 1680x1200 and it's working great! What a pleasant surprise! For a PC monitor this screen is awesome! Webpages are huge, YouTube is like watching TV. I'm very, very happy with this monitor (it's been 4 days) and if it's working great next month I will buy another for my music studio computer. PS: if you have never seen a computer running on a monitor this big you have to see it to believe it! I do a lot of computer programming, websites, graphic design work and a 42 monitor on a PC is a DREAM!
I have played DVDs etc on the monitor and they look good. I hope this info helps you!
