Sexy looking glossy black, quiet, upto speed, no heat up after burning 3 full data cds. Manual open/close button has no delay at all. Real plug n play.
Cons: No useful software, or added value software. The only thing useful download is the firmware upgrade but Samsung makes it a managed software which requires (in the agreement) user to give up some info which I didn't like and decided not to use it. Consequently, I cannot have updated firmware but the unit works fine.

I am reaping the benefits of this product magnanimously. The clinching factor for me was it's dual USB plug as opposed to an actual plug to an outlet. I prefer this connection much more. Awesome product.Digital camera Review: Good Product, Works well with Acer One netbook

This is a very good drive, and works fine with the acer aspire one netbook. Requires no AC power cord to operate. It is slightly louder then i would have thought, but I don't mined.Digital camera Review: Good by all means

Just with two weeks using the DVD writer I can tell it is as good as I expected.
Easy to install, I have burned DVDs in it, and copied discs reading from my Dell laptop internal unit, and it works beautifully. Not to have to change discs as when I copied them only with the internal unit is like paradise. Works equally right with Nero and Roxio software.
The only negative could be the use of two USB ports, but then I got a USB hub with power supply, and now I have 6 new ports to connect USB memories or whatever. So it really didnt raise a problem.
Get one, you will not be disappointed.
