Digital camera reviews of SanDisk 2 GB Cruzer Micro ( SDCZ6-2048-A10, Retail Package)

Digital camera Review: Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I like the portable apps that go with this drive. I've used it on several differant computers and no issues so far with any, plug and go. It's great for portable email and password storage with the free apps.
If you want a pure storage device, this ain't it. If you want a cool toy to play with that has some great functionality, this one, so far, works.

Digital camera Review: Great Product
Summary: 5 Stars

I regularly use different computers. The sync and e-wallet have proven invaluable. Thanks

Digital camera Review: Great USB Drive
Summary: 5 Stars

Not a fan of the U3 component of this drive. I removed the feature (irreversible, incidentally), and don't miss it. Hopefully a future update will improve it's compatability.

However, given how easy it is to remove the U3 feature, you can try it and keep it if it works for you and if not, kill it and still have a great thumb drive. I hear that the Titanium is better, and I don't doubt it, but this is plenty rugged enough and easily withstands living in my pocket on a keychain.

It's fast with lots of capacity, and the most usable form factor available.

Digital camera Review: Great USB Drive
Summary: 4 Stars

This was my first U3 USB drive. I really like the capability of running various applications from the USB drive. This is how I use Skype now. No need to install it on my laptop!

The case is made of plastic which is a good thing, since the metal case drives are known to zap. The password protect feature is nice. On my HP notebook, teh drive is recognized when connected but I had to click on the drive to get a password prompt. On my Dell, the drive is recogized and I get a prompt for entering password. Not sure why.

I am waiting for the prices to come down a bit more. I will buy a couple of these as a backup. It is a good device for the price.

Digital camera Review: Great USB Drive, just need to uninstall annoying U3 Feature!
Summary: 4 Stars

Right out of the box is a weird USB drive, i mean weird, because when you first connect it to the pc it opens the U3 Annoying Software feature, and installs itself without asking anything. It will be OK if at first it asked if you want to have that "Smart Drive" feature or just a Normal "Dumb Drive" used as usual. What i did is actually uninstalll the U3 feature right from the U3 menu and keep it as a normal USB storage drive. Now its a great USB storage drive with plenty of space to have lots of documents, pictures, videos, etc, etc, etc. If you want a "Smart Drive" function i recommend the www.PortableApps.com software, is freeware, easy to install and it does ask you to use this function or not when you plug your drive into a computer, with the same (or better) functionality as the U3 feature.
