... I have lost data a couple of times, but i was able to eventually recover the data using the software provided by SanDisk. It was usually from having the memory card out and probably because i was walking around with it in my hand not in a storage container. But half of the photos would disappear according to my computer, but would be perfectly visible on my D300 camera. It was just unusual. I seldom shoot in the auto mode and render almost all photos in RAW format. This card handles my demanding shooting requirements. I have purchased CF cards from other makers but NONE even come close to SAN disk in performance.Digital camera Review: Fast and reliable

For professional photography this product provides two key elements: peace of mind and time savings. Shooting raw+jpeg, each shot uses up about 20 megabytes. This 8GB card provides enough space for an entire photo shoot. More importantly, it offers the peace of mind that this high quality product has been well tested and the images are safe. While not as fast as the Extreme IV, this card is relatively quick, providing good read times required to offload the contents onto the hard disk. Extremely pleased with the performance of the 8.0GB Extreme III CF card. Read and write speed are fantastic. Works well with my Nikon D300 and in fine JPEG mode will hold over 700 photos and nearly 400 in RAW!
