Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive SDCZ6-4096-A11Digital camera Review: 4G Flash Drive Summary: 3 Stars
I had this drive for one year. I liked it and had no problems with it until it quit working for me. I used it on Mac OS, XP and my Vista.
Digital camera Review: A Great XBOX 360 USB drive. Summary: 5 Stars
Get this drive if your looking for a XBOX 360 USB drive. Meets Microsoft performance specifications. I think it is the same drive as the labeled 360 usb drive. This is the official USB SanDisk SDCZGXB-008G-A11 and this is what your looking at SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive SDCZ6-4096-A11. Notice the first letters SDCZ and the last (A11). 4096 I think is 4 gb and 8g is 8gb. In the end your safe getting this one for your XBOX 360.
Digital camera Review: A Waste Of Money Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this on sale at Best Buy for $30.00 The information on the disk made it seem as though you could use it for software on different computers. I bought it for my Hallmark card software. Simplicity? I think not. With 4 GB of space I was sure that the card software would work from this drive. NOT. It seems that only U3 programs work with this so called "travel disk". Wish I'd never wasted my money on it. I wish I would have known about the U3 issue. I thought it was a 4 GB drive that I could use with ANY software. It hangs up my brand new VISTA computers (desktop AND laptop.
Digital camera Review: A little *too* at home on my computer... Summary: 2 Stars
First, the good news: the drive speed is okay. It is not blazingly fast by any means, but like other jump drives, it's not really intended as a hard drive replacement. If you want extra space on your hard drive, this is a reasonable option. It's nice to just be able to stick something in your pocket and be able to carry some movies or music with you to enjoy elsewhere, without having to bring CDs or an external hard drive.
Now, the bad news: the U3 software the drive comes with gets a little too comfortable on your computer. As mentioned in other reviews, it is installed automatically the first time the drive is plugged in, without asking first, and it floats annoyingly in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. Its menus consist almost entirely of ads for McAfee, Skype and others. Its eject function is rarely successful, and it almost always complains when you use the Microsoft built-in hardware remover.
Overall, it is a functional product, but it is less well-behaved and much creepier than comparable drives from Kingston (which are marginally cheaper anyway--go figure). There are drives out there that don't come with hassles like these.
Digital camera Review: A lot in a little package Summary: 5 Stars
I've had this flash drive for a few years now, and I have to say it is one of the best. I like the retractable USB because I don't have to worry about losing the cap. (Although I recently learned that the colored loop at the end of the Kingston is to hold the cap.) The U3 launchpad is really cool. You can add or remove programs as you wish and you can enable a security feature that requires a password to unlock the USB prior to use so if you lose it, no one can delete your files and steal you flash drive! I think it's easy to use (most USB drives are) but if you can't figure out how to change anything, I suggest reading the directions. It will take about 2 minutes, which is a reasonable amount of time to spend on reading.
