Digital camera Review: Don't get this unless you REALLY want the U3!

I've had no problems with reliability or anything like that, which is why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. The problem is that I use a Mac, and the U3 system is useless on Macs. It is also not removable, even by reformatting the drive. It's very annoying that when I plug it into a computer it automatically tries to pretend that there's a CD there, and Windows computers sometimes give pop-up messages about it. I thought I could use this drive as a plain-old flash drive, but the fact that the U3 feature cannot be turned off or removed is an enormous pain. I'm probably going to buy a different one, and I would recommend against buying this drive, at least until SanDisk makes it possible to remove the U3 system.Digital camera Review: Don't give it a low rating if you don't know how to use it

Sandisk did a great job with Cruzer series. I was looking for a USB flash drive which is fast and has a better way to protect USB connector than cap. I just hate these caps which tend to get lost :) And speed is excellent.
If you read carefully comments with low rating, you'll notice that users are unsatisfied because they don't know how to use it.
Example 1: "It's useless because U3 doesn't work on my Mac."
- Of course it doesn't work on a mac. It's a windows and windows only app.
Example 2: "It doesn't make ALL (or any) software work on other computers"
- User is unfamiliar with term "portable application", and/or the way U3 works. BTW, U3 apps _never_ install software in your hard drive.
Example 3: "It sux 'cause it hangs my brand new Vista"
- It's not the drive, it's U3 software. And further, it's not U3, it's Vista. Don't take my word for it, ask anyone using computers professionally, like me :) Vista is for games and just to look good.
I didn't like the U3 feature, so I got rid of it. If you don't know how, here's a little tip: google!
The hardware itself is excellent, and works flawlessly.

I had problems with this item since receiving it. The computer sometimes simply does not recognize it, and even worse, on ocassions this happened while working on some files, causing the loss of data and hours of work. There is nothing to be said against this flash drive. Easy to use, durable, innovative design. An LED lights up to tell you when it is properly connected, so there is no guesswork.
