Digital camera reviews of SanDisk SDCFX4-4096 4GB Extreme IV CompactFlash Card

Digital camera Review: Fast and reliable
Summary: 5 Stars

Sandisk never gave me any troubles and I use their cards for many many years. This one is outstanding, fast, reliable card and size is just about right for my 5D. I use a lot of sandisk cards from all generations and really depend on them because I shoot weddings and cost of cf card failure is painfully high. I plan to switch to extreme 4 completely soon.

Digital camera Review: Fast and reliable
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this together with a Nikon D300, and it works flawlessly. The write speed will not bother you with this card!

I have had other SanDisk Extreme cards before, and they are very reliable. Find the size that suits your needs, and rest assured you will not regret buying this.

Digital camera Review: Fast read/write!
Summary: 5 Stars

I got this for my Canon xTi and have not been disappointed. It writes fast with makes a big difference when i'm shooting lots of frames for action shots. It reads quite fast as well with the SanDisk reader.

Digital camera Review: Faster Than Ever!
Summary: 5 Stars

Love the new 4 GB Extreme IV CompactFlash Card! Saved my last wedding shoot. Didn't have to change out the card on my Canon 5D until I was on the way to the reception. Didn't miss a shot. All of my SanDisk Compact Flash Cards have ever failed or had a corrupt file.

Digital camera Review: Good Card, but needless speed
Summary: 1 Stars

Folks, The fastest the BEST DSLRs record at is about 15-20 megs a second. So, to have anything that writes at 40 megs a second isn't worth the extra money. Sure, you'll dump your photos to your computer faster - but is having to wait 20 less minutes after a long shoot worth the cash? If you're an assignment photographer, you know exactly which shots you'll be releasing - and you'll pull those. Otherwise, you don't need a card this fast. Go with an Extreme II and get more for your money.
