Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Digital camera Review: Excellent
Summary: 5 Stars

Very nice and small mp3 with many cool extras at a very cheap price. Mine arrived 2 days after ordering. It's a good buy.

Digital camera Review: Poor quality, difficult controls, hard to read display
Summary: 1 Stars

Pros
- Looks great. Size is ok, clip worked ok for me.
- Recording feature is also great.
- I thought the sound was good as well.

Cons
- Won't hold a charge (after 1 month).
- Won't charge at all (after 3 months).
- I cannot read the display unless I am in a dark room.
- Controls are slightly awkward. Power is a little hard to do, volume is too easy. You can't pick it up without accidentally clicking something.
Menu system is odd. I am used to something than can browse like a file system as well. It doesn't work that way for this - it is hard to find what I wanted to play.

Too late to return this. I'm throwing it away.

Digital camera Review: very pleased
Summary: 4 Stars

I have no problems at all after 4 weeks of ownership. There are 488 songs on it, fidelity is good, not great (but then good was what I was expecting), the published time between charges of 15 hours seem correct, and the FM tuner works well. I loaded it up by simply dragging and dropping CD albums...what could be easier? I use the device to play through the MP3 port in my car (via a cable I bought at Radio Shack), while charging with the automobile charger I bought at Amazon. Playing through the car stereo system is when you notice that the sound quality is good, not great. However, with AM, FM, XM, and CD available in the car, I'm not using the MP3 player that much.

Digital camera Review: My Perfect Exercise Companion
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw this device in Women's Health Magazine and it was recommended as being a top pick for fitness. I agree completely. It is TINY - about the length of the average thumb and 1 1/2 times the width of a thumb. The depth is similar to a matchbook. I clip it on the top of my tank or sports bra and I can't even tell it's there.

The interface is pretty easy to use. On the backend (in the computer) I use windows media player to set up playlists, then I drag those playlists into the sync folder for the Sansa Clip. It synchronizes very quickly and the music is easy to find on the machine - can be by playlist, song, artist, etc.

The sound is good. I have some Sony earbuds that I use with all devices (because I have small ears) and they sound fine. I'm not jumping up and down about the sound though. I'm sure everyone who listens to music while exercising would agree that in some songs there are points where the bass/chorus/etc. kicks in and it gives you an extra boost of energy to finish your activity. With the Sansa Clip it does a good job, but not great. It's almost as if the device tempers the sound to stay around the same volume level regardless of fluctuating volume levels within a song. That being said, it is not enough of an issue to warrant second thoughts about buying one. I just turn up the volume during those parts of songs, and for me the volume is very easy to adjust. I've seen some other reviewers mention it being slightly hard to get to under the earphone jack but I get around that by clipping it on my shirt at a 45 degree angle. By doing this the volume buttons are readily accessible.

All around it's a great MP3 player that will get you through those laps/sets/miles. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Also, after my husband borrowed mine a couple of times he got one just like it!

Digital camera Review: Great little perfomer
Summary: 4 Stars

Very small but easy to use all controls. The 'clip' is a nice feature while exercising (walking for me!) keeps it in your pocket or whatever. Works well with Windows Media Player so adding or deleting files is no problem. The battery seems to last me a week or more - using the player about an hour or two a day.
