Digital camera Review: BIG Bang for the Buck!
Summary: 5 Stars

Initial Review for the Sansa 4GB Clip. [factory refurbished]
I recently purchased and received two of these units for $58 total including shipping. If you are purchasing new at nearly $50 each I would strongly recommend a Sony Walkman [MP3] player. Two years ago I bought a 4GB for $55 and myself an 8GB for around $85. BUT these refurb. units Sansa is offering are OUTSTANDING! First impressions: Small generic brown box, no special instructions, came with a "new" looking player in silver, mini-usb [motorolla phone/wall charger also works], new earbuds. I elected to order the silicone slip-ons for about $2.50 additional for each. They both came about half charged and took about an hour to top-off to full. I plugged on into desktop that has my 30GB music library and it booted the sync-screen up in a short moment. The Sansa interface is quick and easy to use with Win-Media [which I prefer, not fond of itunes/ipods]. Sync prep is as simple as drop-drag and sync. Sync is SUPER fast for a price-point product like this, almost as fast as my Sony unit[s]. I was able to load both nearly to capacity about 3.85GB in a short 15 minutes.

Originally purchased one as a gift [retirement] for my 61 y/o dad-in-law [will be his first MP3], but after going to youtube I took the chance I buying two. One as a gift and the other for myself to use in those instances where I don't want to bring an expensive Sony, like the jobsite [contractor], exposed to weather, backpack camping, fishing, boating, beach, gym, etc. Or when I go to evening class at the community college.

Bottom line: If you can find one refurb for $20-something get it, it would be a great unit as a back-up/extra unit or for a youngster you don't want to spend a ton of cash on [ipod?]. Depending on your music quality taste you may want to use a better set of earbuds. Sansa's are ok but both my Jlab's and Sony earbuds sounded better. Most people have extra earbuds lying around their house anyways. I will post updates as Dad and I continue to use this seemingly fine product.

Digital camera Review: Bad Construction, Suspect Battery
Summary: 2 Stars

The construction of the player itself looks quite flimsy. It looks like two pieces of cheap plastic pushed together, around the USB opening which makes this weld quite at risk. I keep mine in a knapsack pocket among other things. It cracked around the USB opening at the same time, 2 months after the purchase, that the battery decided to die. The store said they would have to send it to Sansa due to the fact it was "damaged". Sansa decided the battery problem was linked to the crack in the casing, so they didn't honour the guaranty.

Digital camera Review: Bang for the buck player
Summary: 4 Stars

It took me a while to decide on which MP3 player to purchase. I ended up choosing this Silver model of the 4GB Sansa Clip. It's the second Sansa I have bought, the previous model literally died on me (C250). I didn't use the expandable memory function of the previous player and rarely used the picture viewing capabilities. Hence it makes sense I skip those features which are found in the Fuse version.

Pro's: Everything ! The small size is cool for me. I jog with it in ease. Clip it to my pants waist or bra strap ! Even in moments when I unclip it and it "drops" from my hands, it is so light, the earphones cord held it from reaching the floor. Radio is handy when I want to catch up on news, etc without sacrificing my phone's battery. Silver model looks better to me. When off, the screen blends in with the rest of the front panel...neat.

Con's: For easier life, playlists added through Win Media player. Since I'm a Ubuntu user, could not get playlist on it using Rhythmbox.

It still is fairly new to me. So I think if you're looking for a light, quick and easy player with ample space for your music with radio functions all for a great price, this is your answer.

Digital camera Review: Bargain!
Summary: 5 Stars

It's easy to use. I like the size, weight, clip and the fm tuner (I can't do without it). I do not know why people would buy an ipod over this (all I can think of is ignorance - buying a name?)!

Digital camera Review: Battery died, unusable product now.
Summary: 2 Stars

It was great until the battery stopped taking a charge. The computer won't recognize it now and it won't come back on. Worthless now I suppose. I'll buy something with a changeable battery next time.
