Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)

Digital camera Review: Amazing Sound Quality
Summary: 5 Stars

Sound quality is my number one priority when it comes to choosing an MP3 player. About a year ago, I purchased the ipod nano 3rd gen. It looked nice and made me feel like an Apple hipster but the sound quality can be described as a small radio from the 70s. It's incredibly poor. The volume was weak and the bass was distorted even with my Sennheiser HD-595 and CX400.

At the expense of being less cool, I got rid of it and replaced it with a Creative Zen which was light years ahead in sound quality. However, it stopped working within a week. So I went with Sony and got the NWZ-A818 which sounded even better with great bass response. It even came with decent earphones. But I got rid of it after a few months.

Now after spending a bit too much time on research, I decided to go with the Fuze after hearing all the praise for the Sansa Clip. And I've been blown away. No MP3 player that i've owned come close to having such clarity, smooth bass and natural sound except possibly for Cowon or Kenwood which I can't afford at the moment. I haven't touched the EQ, because it already sounds excellent from classical to trance.

The radio, voice recorder and memory expansion are a plus. It's also a very good looking player, and the software setup and firmware update was quick and painless using Windows 7 beta! This is highly recommended, especially for the price which I picked up for $48 on Amazon.

Digital camera Review: Another great MP3 player solution for my children!
Summary: 5 Stars

In the past, I've purchased SanDisk Sansa players, like the very affordable SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player (Black), so my kids can listen to their MP3s, and so I don't pay a crazy amount of money for Apple's iPods. This MP3 player is more expensive than the Sansa Clip, but it's a really sweet little MP3 player. It's very thin, and the color screen is larger than other Sansa player's I've purchased. Battery life seems on par with what I've normally seen, that is, you can use this player for hours and hours between charging it. It's such a nice unit, in fact, that my oldest son, upon seeing his sister's new Fuze, began wanting a Sansa Fuze to replace his older, perfectly functioning Sansa player from a few years ago. The Fuze is smaller, lighter, and has a bigger screen display over earlier models which adds to its appeal. I think the sound coming from the Fuze is great (but then, I think the same thing about all the MP3 players I've bought).

For children, I think the Sansa players are a terrific choice. They're not very expensive, so when they get lost or broken -- as they often seem to do in the hands of my two daughters -- I don't cringe. A co-worker had that cringing feeling when his son's iTouch broke just outside its warranty period.

Using the Fuze is simple as always. It's easy to sync music to it using Windows Media Player, and it's easy to navigate the menu system. In short, it's a great choice for those seeking a new MP3 player and who don't want to spend a lot of money to get great sound and function.

Digital camera Review: Audiobooks on My Sansa Fuze
Summary: 5 Stars

I love to listen to Library books on my MP3 player. I have had very bad luck with Creative Zen. But the Sansa Fuze has been a delight. It works great with Overdrive Media Console. I heartily recommend it. I haven' yet used it for NetLibrary's long files.

Digital camera Review: Avoid Sanza Fuze like the plague
Summary: 1 Stars

I had this piece of crap for less than a week before it totally crapped out on me. In the middle of playing music, it just shut down and will not power up again. Performance was great for the 6 days or so that it worked, but the price is waaaay too steep for an item that lasts less than a week.

AVOID this thing and any Sansa product.

Digital camera Review: Awesome Deal!
Summary: 4 Stars

This was an EXCELLENT buy! All of the product details provided by the manufacturer and the seller were completely on spot. It arrived in perfect condition and was ready for use. if giving as a gift, you should know that this arrives in a plain white box, a bit large for the product, and is also stamped "refurb" on the back of the player. i was not concerned with the packaging even though I am giving as a gift, I had planned on opening it and filling it with that special someones favorite music and then using a gift bag...just an idea. I'd hate to see someone pass this up over the packaging.
