Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa Fuze 2 GB Video MP3 Player (Black)

Digital camera Review: Better than Apple
Summary: 4 Stars

Purchased for my wife who wanted an mp3 player. In my opinion is better than Apple devices. Its memory can be expanded with a microSD card and the latest firmware supports the OGG audio format.

It can be connected to a computer using two protocols:

1. MTP (Media Transfer Protocol)

2. MSC (Mass Storage Class)

The MSC protocol makes the Fuze recognized as a USB drive so it can be used also for data transfer or backup.

I tried it with MS Windows Vista and Linux using both options and it worked well.

The screen is bright, the battery has a long duration and the device is easy to use. The integrated radio is a great idea!

We have been using it for a while without problems.

Digital camera Review: Better value than iPod - more features for less money
Summary: 5 Stars

The SanDisk Fuze is a great MP3 player. The 2GB Fuze costs half the price of an iPod and has many more features and is easier to use. The Fuze has a micro-SD slot so it's expandable for more music, videos, pictures, etc. The Fuze has a digital FM radio so you can catch up on news, sports scores, and listen to radio music as well. The Fuze also has a voice recorder with built-in microphone so you just talk into the machine and verbally record memos. But the best feature...and this is what sold me on the Fuze... is that works with the ubiquitous Windows Media software found on most PCs. You simply click and drag your music from your computer's library into the Fuze file, which I find much easier than Apple's complex and propriety music file system. The iPod is an icon, and there are a zillion accessories for it, but it doesn't hold a candle to the SanDisk Fuze. Don't be a robot and follow the crowd, break yourself free and go for the Fuze. SanDisk simply makes a better MP3 player with more features for a lot less money. Whether its the very tiny Sansa Clip with 3-line display, or the Sansa Fuze with a full screen, SanDisk MP3 players are a much better value. I am very happy with my Fuze and highly recommend it.

Digital camera Review: Broke after just 2 months
Summary: 1 Stars

My son absolutely loved his new mp3 player and used it endlessly. After just two months, it died completely. Never dropped or mishandled, just went blank and wouldn't charge at all. If anyone knows any secrets for resurrecting the device, we'd be interested to find out. Please post advice on the discussion boards.

Digital camera Review: Could be better
Summary: 3 Stars

It is really nice having your music on the go.
This piece of hardware has a lot to offer but at the same time it lacks in little things, let me tell you that the only things this would need would be a camera and a wake up alarm and would be perfect. Then again there are little things that I dislike about it. I haven't found a way to play my songs the way I want them, meaning that if you have albums in your memory card as "album 1, album 2, album B" it wont play but by artist, bands, genres. It means that if you have 3 albums that share the same song, you will have to go for "album 1" to play that song only and then "album B" to play another. I have like 700+ songs, I have to play one by one and when I am really lucky, I can play 3 or 4 songs. Otherwise, I have to be picking out the mp3 out of my pocket to click and go for the next song over and over again or do the easier part to play all songs, but that means if you want to listen to certain artist due to a specific mood, it'll be a disappointment.

I am not sure if adding songs to a play list will resolve the issue, but to do this in different mp3 would be a waste of time, I rarely use it anymore, I prefer to play them on my phone or listen to the radio (no good).

When you see what this piece is made of and how cool features it gives you, you fall in love. The option of giving memory expansion, gives lots of hopes but its poor ability to pleased users, makes the hardware a bit less enjoyable.

Don't get me wrong, this thing could be a good competition to other any ipod. I can have photos, videos, radio as well, and not only comes with memory included but you can always expand for more, do this things are really good. Sansa would be really good if they could resolve this in future updates.

Digital camera Review: Definietly a good buy!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought my sansa fuze about 3 months ago and it works wonderful! I use it to run with while I'm jogging. I usually listen to my own music or I listen to the radio. Definitely has a good battery life. When the battery is running low, I just charge it up for an hour or so on my lap top and it is good as new! It's very simple to upload songs on. It's also very compact and easy to run with. Would definitely reccomend it!!!
