Digital camera Review: Even though battery life could be better, still the best MP3 player at the $50 mark.

Overall, I really like the Sansa Fuze, from it's small, tough feeling design to it's ability to play FLAC and almost every other audio codec.
It's playlists are as easy to make as they are in Windows Media Player, which is great for the gym as my cardio mix is full of dance/house music while my weight lifting mix consists mostly of angry/faster rock.
The radio's reception is pretty decent as it performs similar to my car stereo in the stations it's able to pick up. Navigating the menu is pretty straight forward and once you get used to the mechanical wheel, you'd never go back to just buttons.
To me the only negative is battery life. While it will last 3-4 gym workouts and some smoke breaks (yes, I workout and smoke, not at the same time lol), I wish it would last longer. My previous MP3 player took a AAA battery and I had enough Sanyo Eneloops charged for it that I could use it for nearly two weeks without having to recharge batteries. If I charge the Fuze from almost dead, it takes 3 hours, roughly. But I guess you shouldn't let lithium-ion batteries run down that low if you want them to last in the long run, so I think I'll start charging at like 40%, let it go to 90-95%, and then once a month let it get down to almost zero and give it a full 100% charge (I've read that's the proper way to keep lithium batteries healthy).

I love my Fuse player. I had a Zen player before this. This player is so much better and the battery life if so much greater. It is so easy to use and so portable I can slip it in my pocket when I go for a walk. I usually don't like ear buds, but the ones that came with this player are so comfortable. I got this product in 3/2009 and by 11/2009 the radio does not work. I am ok with just the music I have on it, but wish I had the radio too. Every time I try to turn to the radio, the whole thing freezes up! This is my second attempt with SanDisk. I would not buy from them again because this is my second MP3 and my second product failure.
