Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8 GB Video MP3 Player (Silver)Digital camera Review: Best "Bang For The Buck" MP3 Player!!! Summary: 5 Stars
The SanDisk Sansa Fuze MP3 Player is an absolutely great MP3 Player. FORGET about buying an Ipod, for the budget minded, THIS is what you want. No doubt, this player can dish out hours of nonstop playing without charging. I can't even remember the last time I charged it. I truly believe you can go at least 24 hours on it before charging. I drive about 1.5 hours of travel time a day. So, this puppy gets some play time! I use a Sony cassette adapter in my "old" 2000 Pontiac Bonneville. Back in the day, when cassette players were still around and unfortunately, still standard. At least in GM's eyes. But, as time and technology progressed, the ease, use, and affordability of MP3 players became the "norm". Even most aftermarket car receivers have MP3 player capabilities now. So, for around $75, I got a nice 8gb MP3 Player hooked into the car's cassette deck. It's like "old" meets "new" with car audio. As far as function goes, it's pretty straight forward. You don't need the directions, that's how simple it is to operate.
First thing you need to do when you receive the player is charge it through your PC via a USB port. Yes, it uses a "proprietary" cable, but so what? There's plenty of accessories for the Sansa Fuse now. You can buy a wall outlet charger adapter for these now. Personally, I think these cables are better than the "mini" USB cables. At least in durability. The construction of the player is solid. This is my second SanDisk Sansa Fuze player, and I have yet to have any major problem or failure. I have had 1 minor issue with my "older" Sansa. It froze up once or twice. But once I shut it down and turned it back on, it was fine. The best feature on this player is that you don't need any software to use it with your PC AND you can just unplug it once your done loading songs/videos on it. You never have to use the "safely remove hardware" icon with these. The transfer time to upload songs on it is pretty fast. Another great feature is that it supports virtually all audio formats, even FLAC! However, I would stick with MP3 format for all your songs on this. FLAC is great(the best quality vs. size ratio), but you are going to fill up your MP3 player fast! I would use 192-224Kbps for space reasons. That way, you get really decent sound quality and plenty of space to load tons of songs on it.
All in all, this player works great. Solid, durable, quick file transfer, ease of use, and the best part, VERY affordable. Even the ear buds that are included sound good! The only flaw that I see with this is the thumb wheel. You have to navigate through the MP3 player with the thumb wheel. It's not really a "flaw" per say, but for the picky people, it could be an inconvenience. Other than that, I think this player is the best value. Another great feature I just remembered is the "micro sd" mini card slot. You can add "gbs" in seconds just by adding a memory card into the side of the player. SanDisk has definitely put some time into these players to make it a quality MP3 player with all the basic functions, yet keep it at a good price.
Digital camera Review: Best Audible and other formats for the buck Summary: 5 Stars
Although I agree with William O. Moore's review (a teriffic review that anyone interested in this product must read), I might point out that I am on my third one. The other two simply stopped turning on (even with a charger hooked to it overnight to see if the battery was dead). Since I had bought it at my local MicroCenter, I took it back and they immediately replaced it with a new one. The technician I talked to said they had never had one returned before. I got it on sale for $79.95. Their regular price is $99.95. So keep in mind, by buying this product locally I paid more than online, but the replacement was immediate, rather than having to ship it back and wait for a return unit. One other thing to keep in mind: If you are an Audible customer, this unit plays all formats (including the new, Enhanced, version) available from Audible. If your are on a budget, buy the 4GB model and save some green. Then buy an inexpensive MicroSD 8 GB chip and you have a real buy. In addition, this plays the new SlotRadio cards. Each chip has 1,000 songs on it, and the price at Radio Shack is $39.95 each, rather than the $49.95 charged by everyone else. Also two comments on sound quality. First, a crummy pair of earbuds, such as the one supplied with the unit, gives you crummy sound. This is a problem with the earbuds, not the player. Second, I bought a pair of Koss KE29BZ earbuds from Buy.com for $19.95. Free shipping. These are better than the $29.95 Sony earbuds I bought at Radio Shack. Anyway, Sansa 8 GB Fuze is a terrific product at a great price.

I did alot of research and this little gem is the best mp3 player for the money I could find. It is simple and the screen is large enough that I can even read it without my cheaters.
The included software Rhapsody looks sort of like itunes. I like my windows media player for syncing to the player.
Audiobooks is my gig. The sould is great. The 8gb is hard to fill.
Great Product!!
Digital camera Review: Best Girlfriend Ever Summary: 4 Stars
I bought this player for my boyfriend for his birthday. He tells me ever day how much he loves it. It's very easy to use, easy to upload your songs and pictures to. He's kind of clumsy, but it's holding up great. With all the extras, it totally beats the crap out of ipod nano. And at nearly half the price....

Awsome little mp3, so compact and comes with everything one could need. Sounds quality is soooo much better than any Ipod and the scroll wheel makes up for the pain of Nano's past
