My husband and I purchased this little mp3 player for our 5 year old. She loves it! There are some cons, ie it will only play mp3 and wav files, which are not compatible with apple music and yahoo music. My daughter loves her Sansa Shaker. It's best for younger kids because it has only 1 button to play plus 2 dials for volume and forward/back. The speaker function is a lot of fun and plays with surprisingly good quality. The only problem she has with it is the bottom lid pops off easily (this is where the battery and USB port are located)but it is held togther with a strap. This product would not be great for anyone over 10 because there's no display for the songs, equalizer, etc.Digital camera Review: Great for visually impaired

My daughter loved the the player and it arrived within the stated shipping time.
She is visually impaired and was looking for an mp3 player that had a screen she could see. This player works great for her since it doesn't need you to look at it to use it. She and her husband had a little trouble finding the battery compartment but once they did they liked the way it worked.

We have had this about a year. Recently have had a few problems with it, but working with tech support (which has been excellent) to try and solve it. We have not had a lot of the problems with the battery compartment, etc that others have had. My 2, 5 and 7 year old can all operate this very easily and fight over who gets to hold it. I love that you do not need headphones, since they are all very young and I want them to be able to hear when they are 30 - the entire reason I bought this in the first place. Aside from the recent problem we have had with it, I would have given this an easy 5 stars. I am just hoping this will last longer than a year, but who knows given how things are made nowadays.Digital camera Review: Great gift!

My six year old daughter got this for christmas and she loves having an mp3 like her big brothers! It was very easy to load songs and the sound is pretty good too. Only con is that it goes through AAA batteries pretty quickly...but the price was right for a younger kid's mp3 player!
