Digital camera Review: 5 Years of quality & performance

I have owned an e130 Sansa for about 5 years now. It just died and will not turn on. I am sad.
Some thoughts that come to mind:
LOVE the AAA battery. I kept a rotating charge, so there is no downtime with charging with an internal battery. When I'm out, or on the road and battery dies, just a quick stop into a dollar store and I'm good to go. On good days, I think I have gotten 8-10 hours of playback from a single battery.
holds about 150 good quality songs with the internal memory & a 1 gig SD card.
Drop and drag is super easy. XP/Vista both detected this player and the expansion card.
manual top dial volume control. Excellent.
decent EQ settings. 1 simple custom, and like 4 presets.
FM Radio has come in use many many times. great reception too.
I think I bought this on sale for like $30. It literally has given me thousands of hours of musical enjoyment. It came with a plastic cover and the unit still actually looks brand new. (The cover is a different story) I have gotten this thing wet, stepped on it, slept on it, dropped it on numerous occasions, left it in my car on 100 degree+ for days at a time and in below freezing weather too. Left it in the direct sun for hours, extremely humid conditions... you name it.
BOTTOM LINE: This thing is a work horse. Yes, there are dozens of better players out there nowadays, ones with unlimited capacity and plenty of better features. I have happily owned this little player, while friends have gone through multiple I-pods and other gadgets. I still have and use the original rubber earbuds, too. The ones you stick in your ear like earplugs.
Anyways, like I said in the beginning - mine just died and I will surely be trying to find another one. I like to stick to reliable things.
