Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Player with microSD Expansion Slot (Black)

Digital camera Review: Also a neat voice recorder
Summary: 5 Stars

I picked up the Sansa e250 because I wanted an easy voice recorder, and the Sansa fits the bill. (I already own a couple of smaller-capacity MP3 players, but no iPod, because Apple will not recognize my WMA format music.)

The Sansa e-series is, so far, the only MP3 player with a dedicated "record" button, and it works like a charm. No matter what you are doing with the Sansa--listening to music, watching a video, adjusting settings--just press the record button and it goes instantly into voice record mode. One exception: if you are listening to the radio, it goes into radio record mode. The recording works very well; it comes out ultra-clear in comparison with the junky digital voice recorders made by Sony, for example.

One caveat: I assumed that it would record in mp3 format, and that I could use the entire 2 gigs of storage space. Not quite: it records in bulkier but higher-quality WAV format (same as CDs, so it can play on your computer without any conversion), and the Sansa will only allow about 512K to be used for recording. That means a maximum of 4 hours and 20 minutes of voice recording time. This spec does not show up in any of the "literature" on the machine that I have seen. I don't know whether the higher-capacity Sansas are set to hold more, or whether adding a micro-SD card (haven't tried that yet) will expand the recording capacity.

And a second caveat: there is no auxiliary input for adding an external microphone, so you are stuck with the tiny but serviceable microphone that comes built in the machine, and there is no way to turn up the record volume, so you have to keep the Sansa sitting relatively close to the speaker if you want it to pick up everything.

But, so far, so good; and as a great bonus, I can listen to my music on the way to and from interviews, too.

Digital camera Review: Amazing
Summary: 5 Stars

This product is amazing, 40 $ for a 2gb mp3 player doesnt sound like the best deal but for like 10 more you can get another 4 gb plus you get radio and video coverage, the sound is great it looks pretty good, very durable and just a 5-star item. Except I lost mine which sucks but buy one.

Digital camera Review: Amazing Customer Service
Summary: 5 Stars

My Sansa froze for no apparent reason. I searched online and immediately found the San Disk website and immediate found the customer service link. I called the phone number and was connected to a person in less than 25 seconds. The person helped me reset the mp3 player and had it working in less than 1 minute. San disk demonstrated a definite commitment to customer service.

Digital camera Review: Amazing Napster player
Summary: 5 Stars

The only problem with this player is that its just 2 gb. but it plays video on a fairly large screen for its size and its cheaper than the Ipud.

It doesn't work with Apple's "Itoos" service but just fine with Napster to go which lets you download what ever you like for a monthly fee and move it to your player.

Good stuff this Sansa, great price

Digital camera Review: Amazing for $105!!!
