I love this player. It has just enough memory, is a great size, the battery lasts as long as they say it will (20 hours), and the controls are really easy to get used to. The recorder is even really good, its better than my other 20 gb player, so quiet and clear, even when my teacher speaks super-low. My husband did a lot of research before he purchased this and found that it is a very high quality brand and that Sandisk are actually installed in our Motorolla cell phones. He feels that this is the best MP3 player out there for the money. He has had it for about two weeks now and it is just awesome, holds a ton of songs, and is very high quality, he is so glad he bought this rather than spending a ton of money on a more prestigous brand name, this is just as good, if not better!!!Digital camera Review: Best MP3 yet...

I've owned about a half dozen players so far. I was toting around a Zen Vision M but found that I did not need all that much space and it is heavy. When I saw the Sansa 8GB I figured I would give it a shot. I mostly listen to podcasts and some music and rarely movies. The first thing I did was add a 2 gig SD but found that the player needs to refresh every time it is turned off if a card is inserted. My solution was to load the 8 gigs with music and podcasts and add some movies to the SD card which I do not leave in the player. Battery life is excellent especially if you stick with audio. GUI is very intuitive. I always toss the included ear buds in favor of some good Sony's so I can not comment on those. When I saw I could get the player for $115 I ordered and am very pleased with it, in fact I have not touched the Zen since this arrived a month ago. The only thing I miss about the Zen is it's ability to progressively speed up when fast forwarding through long audio files.Digital camera Review: Best Mp3 player I ever bought...

I found this item web browsing. let me tell you, it's the best. it's got lots of more function that the iPod: FM turner, voice recorder, video player, photo player is better and the PRICE is way better..

After a lot of looking and shopping around, it was the best for the money at the time (Christmas 2006) through Amazon.
Pros
1)Has a great battery life
2)Lots of memory built in and able to use a memory card for more.
3)Small Size and still able to have pictures and videos.
4) Firmware update easy
5) Radio with record
Cons
1) Not much control(Add/Delete/Move/rename etc..)if not connected to computer through USB
2) Not so user friendly. Having not much experience making playlists, it took a lot to try and organize some of my files also setting up slideshows was hard for me to figure out.
Overall, Very Happy with it after learning curve and getting it configured.
