Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa e280 8 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Digital camera Review: This is a very good product.
Summary: 4 Stars

This is a very good product. I had purchased the Sansa E280 8GB MP3 player because I once owned the Sansa E260 4GB MP3 player, but wanted more room. I gave my 4GB model to my husband, and purchased the 8GB player for myself. The reason why I wanted more room is because I use the voice recorder a lot for various meetings I'm involved with. That feature alone is great to have on this MP3 player. To maximize the space, I formated the player which deletes all of the pre-loaded items. Right now, I have close to 2GB of music alone on my 8GB MP3 player.
Both of these models has an extended memory card which you could make use of too. That is a nice feature to have on these MP3 players as well. I have not felt there is a need yet to use the micro memory card. On these MP3 players you can also play the FM radio stations and record off of it. There is no other MP3 players out there, including Apple's I-Pods, that has these features.
I will tell you that you should get an AC plug adapter to fully charge the Sansa MP3 players. It works alot better that having to charge it up by your computer.
When I received my Sansa E280 8GB MP3 player, the CD program was missing. I did go online to Sansa and informed them the CD was missing. I didn't really get anywhere. Luckily for me, I already had the software on my computer from the Sansa E260 4GB MP3 player.
That is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars. It is a really good product overall.

Digital camera Review: Excellent player
Summary: 5 Stars

After much internet searching, I finally chose the Sansa to be my mp3 player, and I am very glad that I did. Out of box it is a fine player, but after loading the Rockbox firmware and adding a microsd card, it is easily the best player in its class. Supports .flac, .ogg, mpeg playback, and much more after rockboxing.

Digital camera Review: The love with Sansa continues
Summary: 5 Stars

Christmas gifts, bought 3 refurbished units to replace 3 frontline e250 the kids wore out. Restored faith in refurbished units as last xmas bought a e250 refurbish for son from another vendor and got bad unit. Return for that unit easy via amazon vendor. This transaction - Great delivery, great price, no problems x 3 refirbished units. Will do business again!

Digital camera Review: The refurbished e280 just did not work
Summary: 1 Stars

The ffirst problem was that it said it was full after 81 songs (which it's supposed to hold around 2000) and then it got corrupted and wouldn't even turn on. All of these problems occurred within the first 8 hours of owning it. I then had to pay for shipping to get the item replaced, and I'm still waiting...

I've spent almost as much as a brand new one at this point, and am not sure I will ever have a working product. I would not recommend a refurbished sansa.

Digital camera Review: Piece of trash
Summary: 1 Stars

This product worked ok for a few months. Then I started having problems with connecting to the computer with both XP and Vista on different PCs. Error message: USB device not recognized. This was with updated firmware. Search on Google revealed many complaints with this issue with no real solution other than the product or wire is defective.

Also it had trouble renewing download rights with Rhapsody when it was able to connect to the computer, it often took 3 or more tries to get that to work properly.

Then the earphone jack stopped working correctly, there were crackling noises and one of the head phones would not work unless the jack were twisted just the right way.

Oh and let's not forget that the crystal glass surface developed scratches after a few months of nominal use.

I am now back to Ipod and will never purchase another Sandisk product again. I guess you get what you pay for.
