We are completely thrilled with how well the SanDisk M230 player works. Our two kids, ages 7 and 10, love listening to music and books on tape (I replaced the ear buds with over-the-ear headphones), and we've been impressed with how much abuse the little things can take. After checking out the reviews for mp3 players at [...], I chose this one. Don't let the small size or lightweight fool you. Superior sound, and loud enough. The earbuds that came with it work just fine. This one claims up to 19 hours on a single AAA battery. Once started I soon had nearly 3 hours downloaded. (It will take much more). The 512MB size may not seem like enough for some, but to me 40GB seems overkill. I did find the instruction booklet not very helpful, and needed to go on line to www.sandisk.com to view all the information that would be helpful. It lists for $79.95, I paid $48 at an after Thanksgiving day sale, and worth every dollar. VERY happy with it. Choose a brand name like SanDisk. Nice features the Apple 512MB or 1GB do not have, like a display with information.Digital camera Review: Awesome!

Plays clearly, great sound, easy to work, doesn't skip! Also, allows you to put a LOT of music on it. Doesn't eat batteries as much as some others we have seen. We highly recommend it as a cost effective mp3 player.Digital camera Review: Awesome, and such a cute mp3 player!

I got this mp3 player for Christmas last year, and I just love it. It's small, light weight, and I think the design is very cute! Sure, it's definitely not in the league of the iPod, but if you want something not too expensive that can hold a decent number of songs, then this is perfect. It also has an FM radio, and a recorder, which is a nice little bonus :)
Doesn't break very easily either -I've dropped it God knows how many times and it still works as well as it did when I first got it. I have a friend who has this mp3 player as well, and she told me that it broke after a week - but after I took a look at it, it turned out it was just her headphones that had become frayed and broken, not the mp3 player (headphones tend to break easily, even high quality ones). So, if you're using this and you think it's broken, try getting new headphones first before you get a new mp3 player.

I found this product very difficult to use. Despite reading the instructions (over and over), I was unable to load my mp3 files onto this device. The instructions were way too sparse--I know this is an unusual complaint. When I called consumer assistance in order to assist me, they were unable to understand why the files could not be successfully transferred. All in all, I wasted about 4 to five hours trying to figure out how to use this device with no success. I returned it the next day.
