Digital camera reviews of SanDisk Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 Player (Black)

Digital camera Review: A Perfectly Practical Player
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using this player for more than a week now. This player is one of the few you will find that actually uses a replaceable battery, and the only one I'd trust the quality of. I noticed quite a few people complaining about the player's case, the shape, the battery life and the fact that you can't categorize the songs, but I think they're simply upset because they didn't get the super-expensive, needlessly feature-heavy iPod they wanted. There's nothing wrong with the player, the case, the shape/size, the battery life (been using the same one for a while now) nor the filing system. One person even complained about not being able to find the pause button, which is just silly.

The player is nothing fancy. It is straightforward and practical with generous storage space (really, who needs more than 2 gigs of music?). It fits my more than 150 songs, 192kbps to 320kbps each, with room to spare. Music is ridiculously easy to load onto it.

I don't much care for the earbuds, though. I get far better sound from my Sennheiser DJ headphones.

I would recommend this player to anyone who is looking to buy a new one.

Digital camera Review: A SAD DISAPPOINTMENT
Summary: 1 Stars

I was very excited about buying the SanDisk M250 2GB because I already had the M240 1GB and I have had no problems (at all) with it. Unfortunately, the M250 2GB has a quirk or something in it. When I received the first M250 2GB, I noticed that I could listen to short items (songs, etc.) without a problem, but when I tried to listen to something longer (a book, etc.) the M250 2GB would not hold it's "bookmark" (stay in the same place where I was when I turned it off), and I was not able to fast-forward or reverse in a segment (it would just skip to the next segment). This was a headache when I was right in the middle of a juicy novel and I would have to start all over again from the beginning of a segment and pray that I didn't have to turn it off for any reason. So, I returned the first M250 2GB and asked for a replacement item. Unfortunately, again, the second M250 2GB did the same thing as the first. Now I am back to using my old M240 1GB (that I had given to my son and sadly had to take back).

What is funny is that they both look like they are made the same, but I am able to listen to my books and music without issue on the M240 1GB, and it bookmarks for me without trouble, and I can fast-forward and reverse without issue. Go figure.

I like SanDisk, but they have left me confused.

Digital camera Review: A Waste Of Money
Summary: 1 Stars

After reading all the good reviews for this unit I was quite surprised to see it malfunction so badly. I loaded music on it with no problem. After listening to some songs I stopped it. When I turned it back on it won't do anything but say it's name. If I hook it up to the computer it says the tracks are still there. When I disconnect it from the computer it says that it is rebuilding the library. It continues to say that for a long time unless I turn it off. Removing the battery didn't help. The manual is a joke.

The really bad part is that it worked so well at first that I ordered a second one. Before the second one got here the first one went bad. The second one didn't last as long as the first. There is no way I will buy another one. Only time will tell if I can get my money back.

Digital camera Review: A good value
Summary: 4 Stars

This may not be sharpest looking audio player but for $26 I can take 2 GB worth of audio with me camping, boating, or anyplace where replaceable alkaline batteries make more sense than disposable devices such as ipods.

It's a great deal, and it does what it's supposed to. Get them now before alkaline players are completely discontinued!!

Digital camera Review: A little bulky in my pocket
Summary: 4 Stars

Works fine. Can't upload to folders, so just plays songs in order, or shuffle. Why is it so thick?
