Digital camera Review: After owning it a year...

I decided it was probably a good time to sit down and really give this item an honest review. I purchased this to aid me when I began working out last fall. I needed something light weight, small and without all the gadgets of say, and ipod. I just wanted music and enough room to download an array of music that could loop around so that maybe I heard the same song once every other week. The 2gb affords me with room for 200+ songs. The AAA battery that goes in it holds a charge for about 2-3 weeks, depending on how often I get myself to the gym. I keep a spare battery in my gym bag just to pop in when the latter dies...something my workout partner can't do with her ipod. It also comes in handy when doing yard work, cleaning house and jogging. It fits into a pocket or can be used with the arm band. The protective plastic cover isn't pretty, but I'm not trying to score with beauty on this. It downloads from Windows Media Player, something I wasn't using until I purchased this, but it has worked out ok.
If you're looking for it to do some of these things I have mentioned, then this is a good deal. Simply music in your hands, easy to travel with and download...inexpensive and easy to use.

There have been a lot of complaints on this little guy, but it's working great for me. Aside from a fast transfer for about a 75-80% fill of the 2GB (30 minutes, if that?), the ease of plugging it into my computer, hitting "sync device now" or whatever, and just dragging over the music I wanted, the only things that bother me are trivial.
1)Battery - a single AAA - easy to switch in and out, but battery life isn't incredible. Good enough, but a rechargable setup is the way to go on this if you can.
2)Back light - as with all battery operated things, shortcuts are in place to avoid killing the battery as fast. One of them is a quick turnoff time for the backlight on this. When going through the menu, it shuts off before I can finish, so I have to turn on my overhead light, which I'd rather not do while driving.
That's it. The FM transmitter is awesome, it's tiny and light, it comes WITH an armband, though a little annoying (I don't use them anyway), and comes with earbuds. I'm super happy with it, especially for the price. Awesome value.

I bought the M250 4 months ago to replace a 1gig MP3. It is an great player for what it is (an inexpensive, semi-intuitive player).
Pros: Easy controls, good quality sound, FM receiver, lots of options for playing groups of songs (by artist, album, favorites, genre, year, playlist and spoken word). This is great for me because I travel often and I enjoy listening to audio books.
Cons: The case itself is flimsy and feels like it could break into 1000 little pieces if dropped. I bought the silicon skin for it which give some additional padding and a belt clip (belt clip is not great). The screen could be a bit larger as well. Not the most intuitive menu.
Bottom Line: I recommended this MP3 player to friends and family who do not want to spend the money for an ipod.

I love my Sandisk Sansa, I can take it anywhere and not worry about the screen scratching or the music stopping. It is perfect for walks, jogs, and long trips. I needed something to listen to across campus in my high school, and this MP3 Player is superb. It is very easy to use and download music for. The price was so low, it goes on sale often unlike Ipods. The earphones are good quality, and so is the entire player. I have had it for a little over a year, and not one scratch has appeared! The clear case that comes with it is great, no other expensive case is needed. The music quality and FM Radio are great! Buy this player! :)
