Digital camera Review: Cute little player, but only accepts MP3 and WAV files

I purchased this for my son's 6th birthday. It is a pretty nifty player that my son enjoys. Since this is only my son's first MP3 player, I didn't want something overly difficult for him to handle, as well as something overly priced. I like that it can be listened to via ear buds or through its speaker. The shaking function to randomly change songs is fun, but you can twist the bottom ring to access music more specifically. Another feature I like is a little drum roll sound is used to definitely let the child know that they are turning the device on or off. These are the positives. The one BIG negative is that it only accepts MP3 and WAV files. This is annoying for me since most of my audio files are in WMA files. I had to download a free application from the net to convert my WMA files to MP3. This is irritating and time consuming. Also, anything I have downloaded in WMA format via the internet and has a DRM, I cannot convert it to MP3. So, in summary, the player is pretty decent, but be aware of its file format limitations.Digital camera Review: Designed by Duracell

Runs on a single AAA battery - advertised lifetime 10 hours, I don't have enough patience to test that, but whatever the lifetime is, I'm sure it would be longer if it did not continuously flash the BRIGHT blue led.
It's cool, it's amazingly small (would it have hurt them to make it run on a AA? they cost the same, but AAs have way more lifetime), and like the Sansa Clip we have, it just works. The single speaker is about an inch across, and as you should expect, the sound quality is not much, but it's not bad for what it is. Ours was fun for the kids right out of the box, with preloaded kids songs and a single AAA included - and loading additional music couldn't have been any easier after the USB port was exposed, it's normally covered.
One concern we have for our younger boy is if he puts the speaker up to his ear, it gets pretty loud like that, much louder than an earbud does... if your kids have good sense (meaning, if they're like 30 years old or more) then you don't have to worry about this, but it is something to keep in mind.
Digital camera Review: Does NOT work with ITunes Easily or at all!

All I can say is thank god this device came with 5 songs on it already. My little girl would have been heartbroken if it didn't work at all. The sound is good, and it is easy to use if you don't care about precision. Two major gripes - gripe A - the bottom "cap" does screw on tightly, and keeps falling off. There is a little string that prevents you from losing the cap entirely, but it pretty worthless.
Worst Problem - I thought I'd be able to drag all of my itunes songs into this thing - not so. I'm probably just not tech-savvy enough, but the time and money I've spent trying to convert itunes songs into MP3s, and then burning songs onto CDs to import them BACK into Itunes, and then to not have it work anyway - ERG! Save your money - get an ipod Nano - yes it costs more, but your time is worth money, too.

I thought I was getting the perfect first MP3 player for my daughter. I just spent the last 3 hours trying to download music onto this thing. When you check the files on the computer, it says they are in there, and will play on the computer. But they absolutely will not play from this shaker. I have tried multiple times to reload the songs, etc., but still no luck. What a waste of time. Too bad, because it's seems like the perfect MP3 for kids. Cute design too. Just doesn't work (except it will play the songs that came on it).Digital camera Review: Excellent

Excellent purchase. My young granddaughter loved the MP3 player. Those who know said tthat it was one of the first MP 3 players they have seen which had a stand alone speaker.
