Digital camera Review: Great for little guys

I had my mom buy this for our nearly 3 year old for Christmas (a couple of weeks ago). He has loved it. I put his favorite songs on and he now goes for his "shaker" instead of my iTunes profile on my Mac. As for shaking it to change songs - that's an option you have to turn on. I thought my son might be frustrated by the songs changing as he walked around with it, so I didn't put the option on. He uses the turn belt on the device itself just fine. He has no idea there could be earplugs involved; he's only seen it work from it's speaker. The sound is a bit tinny, but not bad at all - not annoying. I purchased this MP3 player for my 3 year old son. He loves it! His favorite feature is the built-in speaker, however the two outputs are a close second. The shake to advance feature is a lot easier to use than the twist at the bottom. We fit almost 20 CDs worth of kids songs on it. We own a 1GB Sansa Shaker and love it. A few advantages it has over an iPod Shuffle are the external speaker, the easy controls, and the kids love being able to change songs (and hear fun sound effects) by shaking the player. The 1GB model holds around 250 songs and the SD cards make it easy to swap tunes with someone else. At the current $15 sale price it's a great deal! Great gift for kids, they will love it! I bought this little player for my daughter. She's two. She loves this thing. If she can't find it, she walks around asking for her mushik. The speaker gets the job done but don't expect hi fidelity. My daughter doesn't know the difference and she's as happy as can be. I have not tried the ear buds as I do not want to listen to it and my daughter is not allowed to use them.
I use a rechargeable AAA battery and always keep a new one ready to go. It lasts her about 3 to 4 days of use. The shaker function is kind of hard to get the hang of and all but impossible for a two year old. You have to hold down the play/pause button and give it a crisp up and down motion. And it seems to go to the next song instead of a random song most of the time.

Got this for my tech challenged mother. She loves it! Simple to use, no screen to squint at, and long battery life. Songs are stored on an SD card, so upgrading is simple and inexpensive.
