These are great MP3 players for the kids. There is a built in speaker so they don't need to ruin their tender eardrums. There are also 2 optionsl headphone jacks for when the parents are tired of hearing the same songs over and over and over. be sure to add a lot of songs in otder to help avoid this!Digital camera Review: Sansa Shaker is great

We bought this for my 6 year old grand daughter. The ease of use and durability is wonderful. It took her about 3 minutes to figure out how to use it. It has been dropped many times and keeps playing. The ear buds were uncomfortable so we gave her a set of old earphones and now all is well. It was easy to download songs from our home PC. I gave this to my daughter on her 7th birthday a few weeks ago. It hasn't left her side ever since. She loves it. It's very easy to use and the external ear-saving speaker is a feature I wish my iPod had. Two minor gripes are that it seems to go through batteries pretty fast but then she has it on seemingly all the time. The other is that it only plays MP3's. I'm on a Mac which means I have to use a 3rd party program to convert my iTunes tracks. These are minor. My daughter wanted an MP3 player for Christmas, one of the only gifts she asked for. She is 8, and uses it with ease. It also hasn't broken. I do need to get rechargeable AAA batteries though. I will also be getting different headphones. These pop out of her ears too easily. I would get it again.
