Digital camera reviews of Sandisk 512 MB Secure Digital Ultra II (SDSDH-512-901, Retail Package)Digital camera Review: Great SD card Summary: 5 Stars
Works fabulously with my Canon A-620. Can take hundreds of pictures before ever having to upload any. Great for going on trips. And very competitively priced.

Great product that allows your camera to hold many more photos. Highly recommend!
Digital camera Review: Great product Summary: 5 Stars
It's the fastest and most realiable SD card I ever used. I heard SanDisk has released a newer one that's even faster, but this one is all I need. I bought two 512MB cards to be used with a digital camera (Nikon D50) and never lost anything.
Digital camera Review: Great speed and reliability Summary: 5 Stars
There is a significant improvement in speed with this SD card in my digital camera, a Pentax *ist DS. I used it to take action shots at a softball game and at a half-marathon. Using the continuous action mode there I could take pictures at a speed that was much better than other cards I've used. I've had no problems with reliability, either. I took someone's advice and bought two of these, rather than one 1 G card. If something goes wrong I'll have another to use and I can put plenty of pictures on one anyway. Great product!!
Digital camera Review: Hardly any difference compared to the regular Sandisk 512 MB card Summary: 3 Stars
I decided to buy this "Ultra" card because... well, the card itself looked cool; the black design, and the word "Ultra" really grabs your attention doesn't it? But most importantly, I thought this card would take advantage of the new "Digic II processor" on my Canon SD camera--expecting to have no delay between each shot.... (I take a lot of rapid shots) However, I saw no difference in speed whatsoever comparing it to the regular Sandisk 512 MB.
What I did was--I took continuous shots at the same position and setting with both cards (SD Ultra 512 MB and regular SD 512 MB) and timed it. But they both captured the same amount of pictures. I have been taking pictures with the Ultra card for several weeks now, but I am still not impressed; it does not feel like an upgrade from the regular SD.
There was no significant difference in transferring and viewing pictures either. (I use a USB2 card reader)
This might be different with other cameras, but if you have a Canon SD camera also--I think it's fine just sticking with a regular SD card. Actually, the SD Ultra is selling on Amazon for a cheaper price than the regular one (Hmm?), so just go with whichever is cheaper. I've had the regular Sandisk 512 MB for months now and had no problems at all.
