Digital camera reviews of Sandisk ImageMate 5-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader SDDR-99

Digital camera Review: Impress your inlaws
Summary: 5 Stars

We bought my in laws a digital camera and a digital photo frame to bring them into the 21st century. This device allowed them to put their photos on their computer, then transfer the desired photos back to a card to be used in the digital picture frame. It works and everyone is happy.

Digital camera Review: Just what I needed at an excellent price
Summary: 5 Stars

I have two media types: Memory Stick Pro and SD. This reader fits the bill perfectly and the price was excellent. I like that it only has one slot--I don't have to figure out which slot to select like I used to have to do with my other reader which had multiple slots.

Digital camera Review: Light and simple
Summary: 4 Stars

Perhaps too big, though it can handle a number of different cards. I have only used it for SD's; it works well and fast Sandisk SDDR-99 ImageMate 5-in-1 Reader/Writer (Retail Package).

Digital camera Review: Much faster than your camera or PDA for uploading/downloading data
Summary: 5 Stars

If I use my PDA or camera to sync or up/download files it takes a long time just to fully view everything on the disc by comparison to using this reader. Up/downloading from the camera or PDA isn't really slow, but once I used this reader that was it for transferring files by connection to the camera or PDA. Using the reader, it's comparatively instantaneous, couldn't be faster.

Note that I'm using a 2007 Casio Exilim and a Palm Treo 650--so it's not a case of my camera and pda being old and slow, they just weren't made to be used as drives except as a convenience.

I've had absolutely no problems with this reader, or the one I had been using for years before for a different type of memory card.

BOTTOM LINE: If you have a digital camera or PDA which uses some kind of removable disc memory, it's well worth the extra bucks to get the appropriate SanDisk brand reader to make transferring files more convenient and much faster. After all, you spend a lot of money on your devices and memory, so why not spend another $20 or so to have optimal data transfer and handling.

Digital camera Review: Muy Buen Producto
