Digital camera reviews of Sangean America DT-210 DT-210 AM/FM Digital Tuning Pocket RadioDigital camera Review: A good radio Summary: 4 Stars
I must start out by saying that I expected more. I also have to say that it's not a bad radio. I live in Las Vegas and the radio stations are not the greatest in strength. I wanted to pick up a weak station and I couldn't. What I could pick up was fine. The ear piece that came with the radio was chintzy and I replaced it with a better set. It's a light radio to carry. Buttons are not convenient. If you want to leave it on one station and walk it will do fine.
Digital camera Review: A great little radio. Summary: 5 Stars
I'm completely satisfied with my Sangean pocket radio. Getting it at such a good price on Amazon made the purchase even more satisfying.
Digital camera Review: A great small radio Summary: 4 Stars
Live about 25 miles from city center of a major metro area. Reception very good for weak AM stations. Speaker function and volume more than satisfactory. You can use the speaker and earphones at the same time. Presets for FM/AM easy to program. Very light and thin enough to put in a shirt pocket. Recommended.
Digital camera Review: A huge disappointment Summary: 1 Stars
I commute 2hrs each way, and since i can only listen to the tunes on my ipod so many times, i was hoping to find a radio with the best reception possible so i would not lose the signal along the way.
I've owned several Sony SFR-M37V, and after getting frustrated, I found the Sangean on Amazon. After reading the reviews, I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately, there was no comparison -- the sony beats the Sangean hands down.
Yeah, sure the Sangean looks cooler, and it looks like it has some interesting features, but after you use it for a while, you realize those features are more of a hassle than anything.
Oh, and did I mention that I accidentally dropped the Sangean today and it no longer works? Yes, it's my fault, but dropping is to be expected with such a device, and I dropped the sony a hundred times with no impact to it's function other than a cracked batter cover.
If you are looking for reception, my recommendation is to go for the Sony which you can find for $30 in most retailers rather than $50 Sangean.
Digital camera Review: A little monster Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great little radio! I listen to the radio at work a lot but the reception in my area is horrible. With this radio, the reception has improved dramatically! Having the local network TV stations is a bonus, I can listen to Oprah or Ellen at work if I want to. The belt clip has been reliable so far and the lock button is useful if you carry the radio around a lot. The only negative is that I hit the band/station buttons on chairs or counter edges a lot and they switch. But the positives more than make up for this.
