Digital camera reviews of Sanyo 277265 Eneloop Power Pack with Battery Charger, 8 AA & 2 AAA Batteries Plus 4 C & 4 D Size Adapter (CostCo Kit #2)Digital camera Review: I Need Advice Summary: 3 Stars
Sorry for the 3 star rating; I don't own these -yet- and need advice on what the best product is to buy.
I'm a 64 year old grandmother, live alone, in a hurricane prone area (Houston metro) and I'm fixing to replace my little 22-yr old, reliable handheld Casio 3.5" TV that has gotten me thru several hurricanes with a new portable 7" digital model that requires 10AA batteries. I specifically looked for and found a TV that accepts replaceable (rechargeable or regular AA) rather than a built-in battery since once my power goes out during a severe storm, it's out for quite a while, and the only option is to replace rather than recharge. The TV I'm considering comes with a recharge gizmo (and AC and car adapter), but I'm not sure how good that is or whether or not I will actually be using it. But it doesn't come with any batteries.
After reading many of the reviews on this specific battery product, and others, I'm still confused which the best battery is for my particular purpose. Most of the reviews on the eneloop batteries are glowing. However, one reviewer stated that they are really good for electronic items that only use 1 or 2 batteries (cameras, etc.)but that that they drain a lot quicker than other batteries if you are using them in series (I guess that's the term), and gave as an example a boombox using 8 batteries. So I'm concerned that they won't last very long with my proposed TV, which uses 10.
So could someone with knowledge of all of this please give me advice as to precisely which type batteries I will get the longest continuous (almost) use with, using 10 at a time, for my specific purpose. If regular non-rechargeable ones will give me the longest time, that's fine, I'll just buy a lot. Just please be very specific as to what you recommend. If your recommendation is rechargeable, what recharger do you recommend. If I buy a recharger, I think I'd like to get one that will recharge all sizes, not just AAA or AA.
Digital camera Review: I'm an Eneloop convert. Summary: 5 Stars
I initially bought this Eneloop pack at Costco.
I have since switched to Eneloop for all my battery neeeds and am very pleased with their long charge life both in devices and in the drawer waiting to be used.

Digital camera Review: Long Storage Life eneloop batteries Summary: 5 Stars
Sanyo eneloop Power Pack & charger
These Batteries are super long life rechargeable batteries. You can charge them and forget them. They come pre charged out of the box and make a excellent emergency battery. But we use them in out LED candles and our computer keyboard and mouse. Also Cameras that have high current loads . You get lots more pics for your battery life with these eneloop batteries.
DepotEco.com seems to have the best price on these as of today.
If you care about the environment then buy these batteries. They will require you to throw away less batteries in your life time as you get 1000 or more charges out of these eneloop batteries from Sanyo.
Digital camera Review: Love these batteries Summary: 5 Stars
If you use anything with AA or AAA batteries you need these! Since they are low self-discharge they come charged in the package! When you use them up, you just charge them and put them back in the drawer, they don't lose much charge at all in the drawer! I currently use one in our baby's bouncer for vibration which takes a single D cell. I just pop one in the D adapter and now I've got a D cell. If I accidentally leave the vibration on - no big deal, I just charge it back up and I'm back in business! I use them in my wireless computer mouse and keyboard, flickering electronic candles, cameras, gaming controllers, anywhere I'd normally use an alkaline battery. I've had my first couple of sets for a year now, and they still perform great. I just put in another order for 8 more AA's. I don't want to use alkaline batteries ever again! These are finally the perfect replacement for alkalines. The only drawback to this set is that the charger only charges them in pairs. Not a huge deal, but could be improved.
Digital camera Review: Misleading NO C or D batteries Summary: 1 Stars
There are only 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries. The C and D sized things are just plastic shells!
