I first bought the Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable battery about 3 months ago. In that time, I've used them in my office (and home) computer mouse, bicycle DiNotte headlamp, taillamp and other products. I've now stopped using any other battery. The Sanyo Eneloop batteries last longer than either the regular or digital batteries I previously used and provide more consistent power. I haven't really tested their charge holding ability over a long time.
As for rechargable batteries they are as good as any.

I asked some people who use a lot of re-chargeable batteries what was the best choice. Most said to go with eneloop, and one person was emphatic: stick with something that says "Pre-Charged", no matter what numbers they throw at you.
They were right -- these batteries hold a charge for as long regular disposables. Look no further, these are the ones you want.
