The Sanyo Eneloop batteries are great. They hold charge the longest, are pre-charged, and the charger that comes with the batteries is compact and simple to use. The charger is small and compact, great on the road. At home, I use a non-Sanyo charger that checks and conditions the batteries.
I got more spare Eneloop batteries for all my electronic devices. You can't beat them for life, capacity and dependability. They don't got bad like some of the other name brand batteries.

I constantly use about 40 AA sized Batteries. I tried to replace them with regular Rechargeable Batteries. The problem with those is that they are always empty when you actually need them. Not the Eneloop, they are always ready to go. Just recharge them when they are empty and store them like regular Batteries.
Apparently there are normal rechargeable Batteries out there which are labeled with a higher capacity. The truth is: with devices which draw not that much power or which you use only occasionally, you lose most of the available power on self discharge processes. The Eneloop keep their charge so that you actually get more out of them.
For my needs they are perfect!

I use thes with my Nikon D-300 vertical grip and SB-800 flash and anywhere else I need reliable AA power. I got tired of having a dead flash because my AA's self-discharged in the flash in less than 2 weeks. I bought 12 of these and a charger the first time and 16 and another charger the second time. Now I always have reliable AA power for my camera and flash. These are the real deal! I own and used several sets of Eneloop AAA & AA's for over a year now. Other than a higher initial cost (true of any rechargeable sets), they beat ALL alkalines by a wide margin. They last way longer than any alkaline, and will recharge hundreds of times. As mentioned before, the Eneloops hold a charge for a LONG time when stored. By any measure, they outperform alkalines as well as any other brand of rechargeables. Highly recommended!!!Digital camera Review: We own 84 of these batteries and think they are great!

Our business requires AA batteries in cameras used day after day. This product is wonderful and we have replaced all AA batteries for business and home use with the eneloops. Recharging is fast and is required much less frequently than out dated old fashioned conventional rechargeable batteries. We have found in the past that traditional rechargeable batties have blown up our rechargers and lose the recharge very quickly. Eneloops have sat in our car, charged, for weeks and the charge remains great and we have not lost a recharger yet. We started using them about a year ago and we wouldn't take a conventional system if it we given to us for free. Thanks for the great product. (No we don't know anyone who works for the company or where the company is located.)
