Digital camera reviews of Sanyo Eneloop AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries - 8 Pack

Digital camera Review: 2,000mAh Tested at only 1,850mAh
Summary: 4 Stars

Ok so if the 2,000mAh batteries only tested at 1,850mAh, why 4 stars? It's based on my previous experiences with rechargeable batteries.

I am a professional photographer so I must have good batteries for my camera flash. About a year ago I bought 2700 mAh Lenmar batteries. For the last several events, I found the battery sets to go dead after just a few shots. After testing all the batteries with the a Powerex Battery Charger. I realized 2/3 of the batteries were testing at only 600 mAh. The best ones tested at 2000 mAh. I threw most of them away because even after using the Powerex "Break-in" mode the "throw aways" only came up to about 800 mAh. It's important to know that when using 4 batteries together, all 4 batteries will only perform as well as the worst of the set. So if you have three 2100mAh batteries and one 800mAh, combined they will perform only as well as the one 800mAh battery. Batteries should be grouped with similar performing batteries.

Conversely, about 1 yr ago I bought a set of 1,800mAh Sony Eneloop batteries. After one year they all are now testing at 1850mAh. I thought my 2,700mAh Lenmar batteries would be the most powerful. They are not. I would never have known what the issue was until the batteries were tested with the Powerex Wizard One charger.

The bottom line is that the Sony Eneloop batteries cost more but they are also more reliable and they hold their charge longer than normal rechargeables. I have several sets of batteries I use for work. I keep the Eneloops to use last because I know they will still have a charge even after non-use for several months. So the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is, they are not as powerful as they say but they are still worth the money.

Digital camera Review: 2000 mAh is not too much nowadays
Summary: 3 Stars

If I knew beforehand that it is only 2000mAh, I'd reconsider buying it. Not bad, but nowadays you get much bigger capacity batteries.

Digital camera Review: A Good LSD!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought these batteries to replace my old energizer nmh, and Sanyo Eneloop Rocks!!!! I use the batteries for my R/C Kyosho, Tamiya and RC heli good performance!!!

Digital camera Review: A boost for outdoor solar lights
Summary: 5 Stars

I replaced all of the NiCd batteries in my outdoor solar lights. Most of them were 600mAh, while these NiMh Eneloop batteries have more than 3x the capacity at 2,000mAh. Sure enough, the solar lights are brighter and they last much longer - this time they keep going all the way through the night and into the morning. The manufacturers of solar lights want to keep their prices competitive so they include the cheapest batteries possible. Next time when I buy a solar light I'm going to skip the new battery that comes with the light and replace it with this more powerful Eneloop battery.

Digital camera Review: A great choice
Summary: 5 Stars

I've been using these for months now and just ordered my second batch as my household seems to use an ever increasing amount of AAs. I've looked around a bit and feel more comfortable buying these than many others. There are lots of explanations why in the main description and other reviews so i won't go on.
