Digital camera Review: A lot of power for little $$

I have several sets of these which I use for my digital camera and strobe, as well as other assorted electronics. These are about the best batteries in terms of runtime and mA capacity in their price range. I find it hard to run them dead, very consistent and solid performance. Best of all, you can charge them and leave them for up to 1 yr. and they will retain most of their charge, exactly when you go to grab them and they are needed NOW. I use a smart charger, the Maha Powerex Wizard One MH-C9000 Advanced Battery Charger and Analyzer to avoid improper charge cycles. They will still do fine without a special charger, but they will last longer if properly charged on individually monitored, controlled charging circuits.Digital camera Review: A rechargeable battery you can keep for later

I've been using rechargeable batteries for years and when I heard about the Eneloop, it seemed too good to be true. Although the claims are a bit exagerrated, it does live up to its promise.
This is the only rechargeable battery you can keep aside as spare and know that it will work when you need it.
I had a $50 Fuji 5MP camera that I almost threw away because it just sucked up my rechargeable batteries. When I got the Eneloop, the camera had a second life. Now all I have is a pair of Eneloops loaded and another pair spare.
My only problem now is what to do with 10's of older rechargeable batteries that I have. After trying out the Eneloop, conventional rechargeable batteries have no use for me anymore.
I still think there's a lot of room for improvement so I give it a 4-star rating. Otherwise, nothing else is better (there's the Rayovac Hybrid but I'm in Asia and we don't have that here).

Buying these batteries is a great way to contribute to the global problem of waste and excess! The batteries are great and convenient. Make sure you buy enough batteries to always have freshly charged batteries to change quickly!

I just love these batteries, I was getting tired of needing to use my camera and have dead batteries, as they always died just sitting their. These batteries keep the life, and now I always have fresh batteries, for my camera, flash lights, etc.

These batteries are phenomenol! I love that they come pre-charged and they last longer than regular rechargeable batteries and alkaline batteries. I use the eneloop in my MP3 player and digital cameras and rarely have to change/recharge the batteries. A great investment!
