Digital camera reviews of Sanyo Eneloop AA NiMH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries - 8 PackDigital camera Review: Awesome Batteries Summary: 5 Stars
I have been using eneloop batteries for years and think they are the greatest batteries ever! As a matter of fact, the ones that I purchased about 3 years ago still work great and hold a long charge. I haven't had to dispose of ANY of those yet and we use a LOT of batteries in our house for all our video game remotes, digital camera, remotes, etc. I decided to buy more to replace any and every other remaining old battery in our house. I would highly recommend these to anyone. They are also great for the environment in the sense that you won't be tossing batteries regularly.
Digital camera Review: Awesome Batteries. Summary: 5 Stars
A year ago I bought Promaster XtraPower Pro rechargeable NiMH AA batteries for my Canon S3 IS. The batteries seemed to lose their charge quickly. Heading to the United Kingdom, I decided to try the new AA Sanyo ENELOOPS NiMH 2000mAh. To make sure that they held their full charge, I used the video feature of my camera. I've managed to get 250 minutes of video recording time with the ENELOOPS. Compare this to the Promaster that only lasted 150 minutes fully charged. Even with the ENELOOPS sitting in the camera for at least 3 days without use, I was able to record at least 100 minutes of video, and sitting in the camera after 2 weeks, I can still take photos without a recharge. The Promaster which were fully charged (but left to sit outside the camera for 3 days) needed charging as soon as I put them in the camera. I haven't taken my trip yet, but I don't plan on taking the Promaster batteries even as a backup. With 8 ENELOOPS and a battery charger, I think I'll be fine.
Digital camera Review: BEST BATTERIES Summary: 5 Stars
THESE BATTERIES ARE A GODSEND. THEY ARE LASTING FOUR TO FIVE TIMES LONGER THAN THE OLDER RECHARGEABLES I'M USING. VERY SATISFIED.
Digital camera Review: BIG Fan - - and these are the best! Summary: 5 Stars
I've used nothing but Eneloop's for AA and AAA devices for about 3 years now. I have digital cameras, noise-cancelling headphones and clocks, Wii and TV/Home Theatre remotes that rely on 'em. They really do hold a charge and have a great shelf life. Nothing compares. I use the Triple-A's to run my Logitech Harmony 659 remote control & they last 2 or 3 months before I swap... every time I swap I throw the dead ones into a charger overnight, then shelf 'em. They're always ready when I have to swap again. You'll save a bundle with these batteries!
Duracell and others are making the same type of battery now but I still think Eneloops last longer. At least my double-A's do. :)
Digital camera Review: Batteries great, not so happy with Amazon... Summary: 5 Stars
These low self discharge batteries are great for those who use them infrequently, i.e. flashlights, remote controls, cordless keyboard/mouse.
I'm not happy with Amazon canceling my back order of this item about a month ago though. It was in stock when I placed the order at a low price, then was notified later it was on back order. Then the order was canceled without offering me the option to wait longer. Now that I've purchased this elsewhere at higher price, it is available again at Amazon. It would be nice to have the option to wait longer on back order items--on items that are not discontinued.
