Digital camera Review: Do not use with metal enclosure

The first time I used these batteries they shorted out and burned my hand. The fault is that the wrapper does not wrap around the negative connector leaving about 1/16 of a inch of metal exposed. If used with a battery enclosure that is metal it could short out like mine did. The AA batteries are not made this way only the AAA. Do NOT buy until they have changed this. I was lucky enough to have caught before they exploded and only burned my hand.Digital camera Review: Do what rechargables should do, WORK

Got two packs of these suckers for baby monitor, they last about 2 weeks which my old batteries were about two weeks so they are comparible to non-rechargables in my mind. They also charge very quickly and while I haven't gotten to test their longevity all reviews I found suggested they are the way to go. Many batteries sold on Amazon are shown packaged nicely in original manufacturer's package in picture only, but indeed arrive in ziplock bags. This one is NOT one of them. I ordered this item, and got what appears to be the original manufacturer's packaging.

After charging overnight and following the instructions the battery is only at 85% charge. What good is this expensive battery if I only get 85% charge. These are a joke and I'm going back to buying regular Duracell Batteries. I bought 16 AA, 8 AAA, and they all come up to about 85% charge. After a few years of buying and using MAHAs that didn't last as long as advertised, I finally decided no more having to top off the batteries first before you use 'em every time. Now I've got eneloops and there's no lookin' back. They're always ready when you are. The way it should be.
