Digital camera reviews of Scosche Car FM Transmitter for iPod and MP3 PlayersDigital camera Review: Useless Summary: 1 Stars
This product might work someplace where there is zero reception, but in Metro Boston the procuct was rendered useless. I will not bother with any of these devices anymore; the ones you can actually get to work sounds terrible, and the rest of them just don't work at all. Spend the extra money and have a system hardwired into your car. Well worth it, less hassle.
Digital camera Review: Very Good Summary: 4 Stars
Pros:
-Very strong signal. Strongest I have personally ever used.
-No need for batteries.
-Very simple to use.
-Universal. Can use with any brand or type MP3 player.
Cons:
-Only 4 choices of frequencies.
To sum it up, I have been very pleased with Scosche FM transmitters. They have never let me down. The only thing holding this review back from being 5 stars is the limited number of choices you have on choosing what frequency you want. 4 choices may not be enough for some people, especially in densely populated areas. Other than that, it does what it should and it does it well.
Digital camera Review: Works reasonably well Summary: 4 Stars
The unit works as advertised. As some other reviewers have pointed out, there is some background noise, but this unit is no worse than the Belkin unit I had before it. It does turn on instantly when it is plugged into the power socket in my car, which is not that case with the Belkin.
Digital camera Review: Works well. Summary: 4 Stars
This product works well. I live in a major metropolitan city and I have no problem finding a frequency. I have tried more expensive fm transmitters and have been disappointed and ending up going back to the Scosche. And it's pretty cheap.
My only complaint is that the wire tends to break after a year or so, probably because of my frequent pulling on the cord. But because it's so cheap, I don't mind buying a new one.
Digital camera Review: works well on highway Summary: 3 Stars
I am from Missoula, MT and have found that driving on the highway while using the transmitter yields good results, not quite as good as cd quality but very close. I wouldn't suggest this for a city person though because of all the electrical interference, which makes the sound very fuzzy and distorted. Great for the highway though.
